Rumor has it several players want to leave this 06 caps team. Coach even posted games as losses they didn't play so kids cant leave and their record fall below 500. Why didn't team play games and why did he forfeit? Who does that to a 9 year old. If a kid wants to leave let them leave.
Anyone can leave and loses on the Fed site are kegit losses. Even if you had a winning team there are only a limited number set by the Feds as to how many a team can take. So no matter what your record is one team can't take half of another team. What's unfair about that?
A forfeit is not a legit loss. And there are two losses that were actual forfeits posted for the 06 Caps.
Fair??? Not fair??? You be the judge.
Post anything. It goes in as a 1-0 score against the team that forfeited. Most forfeits I have seen were due to weather cancellations and if it doesn't affect their standings, it's not uncommon for coaches to not reschedule.other teams have not rescheduled as well. It doesn't sound like a conspiracy to meππ
No way it affected them getting into the playoffs and that's all that matters. If they needed a win, they would have played, if they had no chance, they said why bother or there is no time
yes the Saints are looking for players and since they are losing 2 kids to the Caps, i am sure it is not your kids spot, they will gladly take back some in trade!

Saints are also losing a kid to the kings so that makes 3 kids leaving them. Saints will take them but do you want to play in the BHL? Go back to town and save your $$. If 3 kids are leaving the Saints after their first season having an 06 team there has to be a reason why. Stay away!
It's funny how matt smith came into the caps. He had parents meeting and said anyone not happy I will be glad to release them. How things have changed in 2 years. He is so afraid of losing players. He keeps kid's that want to leave at all levels.
If that is true that he forfeited a game to alter their percentage to keep kids from leaving then someone should just make a phone call....to USA hockey.... I'm sure they are familiar with him.....
I was at a parents meeting when MS first came to Caps. He said he didn't want people in organization that didn't want to be there. He would grant releases to anyone not happy. Why don't you ask him about that meeting. See if he remembers.
A 1-0 loss on the last day of the season was to avoid driving to Merrimack to make an afternoon game during the week to get the score into the Fed.
You really think the forfeit was to keep a kid on the team?
Let's see, drive an hour or more in rush-hour traffic to make a game in North Andover or save the drive and take a loss that had no impact on the final standings for the Caps...
After all the F-- bombs last night at practice between the owner of caps and the commissioner -- one phone call to USA will surely get kid released. Kid should be scared to play on that team. I know I would be.

good luck with that phone call. i'm sure that'll work.
I always told my son's coaches, "Don't worry about your use of foul language, I assure you he's already heard everything there is to hear from his mother."

While I know we all slip at times we had a coach who swore and yelled at the kids all the time and it affected my Son's devrlopment. He was afraid of the coach, afraid to makeup mistakes. I dont expect the cosch to be perfect but 8 year olds shouldn't deal with that at every practice and game. As much as we tried to explain that grown ups make mistakes just like kids do it lead to a wasted year. Got the heck out of there but not easy to do mid season. I'm willing to bet this years coach has let things slip but there is definitely a line this coach crossed
O.K. I'll grant you that. Good decision by you. You know your kid and it wasn't for him so move on. But no need to trash the guy (if we're talking about the same guy) because others (including myself) have had good experiences for the most part and my kid went on to be a pretty good player partially because of him. Then again he didn't play for him until he was 10 and I will say the guys size does intimidate a lot of little kids.

Different coach for us. Just telling our personal experience that may validate what others are complaining about
If two teachers were throwing F- bombs at each other in a classroom what would happen. Parents would be outraged. Buts its ok for the commissioner of the league and the owner of the caps to throw F.. bombs at each other during a practice.
