With the new facility opening Friday, this program is going to take off.
Can only get better than where it is now.. Lots of kids will jump on board next year.
That's for sure. I wouldn't be surprised if the program causes problems for the capitals.
Absolutely, there were a lot of Caps parents ready to jump ship this year, but were smart enough to see that the rink would not be done for the start of the season and were nervous about that. You bet there will lots of Caps kids going there next year !
I saw a General's' post on Twitter with photos of the rink and the bleacher section doesn't look all that huge. How many sheets with seating do they have? Was I looking at the little rink?

The place is sweet! There is a Krispy Kreme onsite too!
Once things settle my kid wants to leave foxboro and sign up for this program. Best skills, best coaches, best facility, the list goes on and on. All I can say is wow! This program has it all.
I gotta say, I don't blame him. All his buddies are talking about it and everything the program is doing is top notch, they are not cutting corners anywhere.
Hats off to the Lovell family for making this dream a reality as fast as they did. Now more kids will have the opportunity to skate and play for a premiere program in thbest facily in the northeast.

The Lovell family?? Great guys but unless I'm missing something they had nothing to do with making this dream a reality. Pretty sure they are just renting ice and the developers did the rest...

Your crazy of course they had something to do with it. Who do you think is running thr facility? This facility is amazing! #lovellwinning
However, They do not run the facility.. not even close
Ah ok who does? HG? That's one in the same.
They were heavily involved and their involvement was key, from who is running the facility to the GC to the investors.. most got involved because of the faith they have in the Lovells.
Their involvement was/is key to this getting off like it did.

Thank you!!!! Exactly the Lovell Family was actively involved in every aspect of this facility. Don't get me wrong the investment group is a big deal but if Lovells ever oulled out this thing would be in trouble.

They are coming because of a new building, 2 miles away are the saints a legit E9 team. Im confused why these kids are coming.
because they can't make the Saints...[/quote
Said no one ever
your kid must play for the caps because we heard that one before
Nope just a fact, Saints aren't relevant. They were when they played Hockey Northeast. Landscape has changed and the few teams they have that qualify for E9 get smoked. 05 team loses 1/2 kids every year to EHF, and that teams is plain bad. RI parents realize better off driving to 146 or foxboro to play teams that are closer and more competetive.
For a RI kid who's good enough, EHF is the smart option, and more teams to choose from based on where you live in the state (SSK,Caps, Jr. Terriers etc.). Saints are a Tier 1 program that places a few teams in the weaker E9.They will lose those e9 spots to the 95's as they continue to grow and improve.

funny how you mentioned the 05 Saints and kids leaving to what? The stacked team that is the 05 Caps. 2 professional hockey coaches and can barely get kids to play hockey together. Only kids who live in the north would bother driving to foxboro for hockey and i think that affect the Caps way more than the Saints. Sad to see the Caps dying off and need to take your frustration out somewhere. we get it.
Yeah that 05 Saints team has lost there best players to SSK and Caps over the past 3 seasons and the kids were from all over RI. Listen Saints dad you brought up the Saints in the post. I just chose that team as an example so stop being defensive. Just stating facts. The 05 Caps team is good, but needs to score more and way too many ties. They would destroy the 05 Saints. 5-15 in E9 is not good friend.
Saints aren't in the discussion of people going there. They're a stepping stone for players trying to make EHF.
Driving from South County/Kent County to Burriville for games isn't a big difference from Foxboro, and 146 is a heck of a lot closer than Burriville or St. George's.
So don't worry Saints Dad, no one will leave, or come to you. You're the frustrated one friend. We get it...
Give it a rest blue, green and now orange Kool-Aid drinkers. Most overrated program you can imagine. There are a lot of crappy ones out there but a total scam for the money. Go watch a knights or a giant practice. Either a crony daddy friend of the Lovell's or JL sitting off to the side blowing a whistle running open line drills for an hour. Every year the knights end up with rejects from other programs. No one on one instruction. Look at the quality of the players and the wins and losses. Limited developing going on there. They produced strong 02'2 at BA because of his son. Every other birthyear in everyone of his programs is weak Massive turn over every year. Week league. Even in his older levels those kids still have to go to the Kings or Islanders or junior Bruins to play juniors to develop to play in college. Sorry folks but that is the truth.
2 teams on life support to the north and the south, 05 Caps and 05 Kings. Sure to be a lot of kids coming over at the 05 level due to current implosion status.

Seriously??? This program has nothing. They are waiting for the RI Saints to fold so the can collect their remnants. Stay away or good luck.
most of the saints kids would go back to town. Most live in Central to southern RI and wont travel to north Smithfield for the Caps never mind go to attleboro. you dont know the RI mentality when it comes to driving. Anything over 20 minutes is a day trip.
When it is up and running, what's going to be more convenient that right off of I-95 with state of the art facilities and with some of the best skills around?
Is it Tim or Joe coaching this team? We signed contract and have heard both so not sure. Does anyone have any clarification on this? Serious responses only please.
I am betting that they are still looking for capable coaches, if they cant find one they will coach, and you cant go wrong with that.
We didn't have a coach until the week before season started last year and JL did one practice a week that coach couldn't make Don't sweat it. Plenty of time and J or T is one hell of a backup plan !
The Lovell's are throwing a tremendous effort behind having selected the right coaches and skills instructors. It's reminiscent of the Boston Advantage when they first started.
1) Are you willing to be taught skills by renown and well-respected coaches?
2) Is your long-term development of paramount importance to you?
3) Are you willing to work the hardest that you ever have before to become an exceptional skater and player to play at the next level?
Answer: Yes, yes and yes. Welcome to Lovell Hockey!
Getting to big, to fast. All they are doing is moving cattle now. Reminds me of AAU sports but a little more expensive. Their are better options out there.
