Oct 14 .... There you go all you haters ...sorry your kid didn't make the team
They literally did not cut one kid at most levels and are still in need of players, so that line doesn't work here, especially when alot of kids cut went there as a last resort !
The Giants team camps were very well run, albeit light on attendance at 05/04 level, by their skill instructors from BA and AI.
They usually are very well run, they have been doing it for a while.... same organization just a new team.
I feel bad that these kids have to play in the E9 pool for parity because they are labeled as an Elite team, as a result of them only having one team. That is unfair and a bad way to start a season for a new team. Get mentally prepared for that weekend or those kids confidence will be gone on Friday !
Any business just starting out needs to adapt to the marketplace. As will this business. I'm sure there will be growing pains and changes will need to be made a certain levels. However this will be the new "Flagship" program similar to BA. The location is ideal and the facility is top notch. Don't be surprised if your kid is asking you if he / she can play for the Giants in the next year or two.

You clearly have no idea what you are talking about[/quote]
Clearly you have no idea what you are talking about. The Kings and Caps are mediocre at best. brand new facility. Nice Area. Great Skills and Good coaching will equal a better alternative for kids in that area.
Probably... possibly.... but since I don't live in that area I am pretty confident my son wont be asking to drive further to play hockey in a new facility with a bad team. I am also willing to bet people will not be passing over other programs to play there because of the new facility. Most of the players they got so far that are not from that area were cut by LK, BA, or other programs.
Im guessing the point of the post wasnt to imply you would drive from Boston-north to play for the 95 giants. I am giving the benefit of the doubt when they said that "your kid would want to play there" was meaning the local kids. And i know most of the kids there now were probably cut from others but it is year 0 for them so lets not put the dagger through them just yet.

Might be true. When my older boy moved from an EHF team to BA when BA was just starting out everyone thought we were crazy. For a few years there it was the only place to play for a Bantams and it was the best move he could have made at the time. You never know.
The Kings and caps are probably the worst place you can have your kid play as a Bantam. At a critical juncture in their development the focus is still on just winning. Kids really need to learn how to play the game at that age. They don't need to go to practice doing the same breakout trails over and over. The best thing I did was take my kid out of that program.

Why wait until bantam? If that's your practice at squirt and peewee, then go somewhere else.
I guess if you consider that most teams will be in the American Division of the BHL in the first year. The 04 team had a legit shot at the E9 and played very well in parity. The 07 team has some good young skaters and gave some returning E9 teams a run, but in the end fell short. The 03, 05, 06 teams need some work and could easily be in the National Division of the BHL.

05's are in National and started the season off 0-1 today because they didn't have enough players.

Why would they ask to be moved to National, if it wasn't part of a penalty?
Have you seen this team ? They would have been a National team had that not gotten two wins by outside players, so it makes sense for everyone. The league the organization, the kids...

Oh. so now you have at least submitted to the fact that they are in the National, but they didn't forfeit a game ? they just rescheduled it because they didn't have enough kids Good one.
No suspensions for anyone. The divisional move was a request by the Team
My kids did make Giants teams. Why wouldn't I be excites to get the best arena in Mass and the best skills too?
here is why. those teams are going to be bottom dwellers in the BHL national. better off playing for the Devils with that competition. The rink is new. that doesn't mean its the best. Plus who know how long it will be open with the lawsuits. Lovell skills have become a joke. Run by local D3 college kids who have no idea how to teach actual skills. Instead they just run them up and down the ice and play some cross ice games.

I think what they're trying to say is you're spending a lot of money and not going to see much in return playing for the Lovell's these days. They turned into terrible programs. But hey, you can get a Dunkin' Donuts when your son is doing the same drill over and over on skills night!
It's still better than playing in any rink in Rhode Island.
Yes, not so good coaches, bad skills, bad teams, crap competition in BHL national, good rink. I think i will join them. Sounds like a solid hockey parent decision to me.

Not to doubt you, but who is even coaching next year? I don't see any updated coaching info and it is certain that some of last year's coaches won't return. Just wondering.

The 07 team grabbed the coach from South Shore Kings.
Hmm, they seemed to be raking it in this past weekend with 40+ teams in a tourney there, with the newly opened restaurant packed daily, and the construction continuing with the Frozen Yogurt place. Seem to be doing okay !

yes they need to rake it in because they are going to be paying through the nose once everything starts coming due. Expect the place to be sold within the next 18/24 months.

Please stop with this bad self-promotion and inferiority complex defense mechanism. Its embarrassing. The rink didn't have 40 teams in a tournament, the Giants didn't have 40 teams in a tournament, it was a 3rd party purchaser that rented the ice. That would be like saying RB at Walpole is on top of the world because Chowder Cup rents his ice.
It looks really bad when the same person comes on and says that stuff. Enough...

okay. I will bite.
So who was the third party purchaser ? Lovell guy, perhaps ?
And who cares who is footing the bill for the ice rental if you can fill the place up with 40 teams, their parents and siblings for the weekend. Bar was making money, restaurant was making money, pro shop was making money, arcade was making money.
I don't see how having a rink full for the weekend is bad ? Would you like them to run the tourney and take away the 1500 bucks each team owner made, that wont happen.
I am not defending the place or affiliated with the place or programs, just stating what I saw being there over the weekend.
Are you referring to the RB that is underwater in Walpole due to his personal vices? The guy that is losing his juniors program because of all the changes to the USPHL? EHL becoming defunct after this year? The youth program where any good player basically left? Now filling premier teams with KPW and Medfield town players? Yeah, he is definitely buying the ne sports Village

Yes. The same RB who owns Walpole Ice Arena and the same RB who has the E9 / BHL charter where kids are standing in line to get in a o the program.

Hate to break it to you but no one is standing in line to get into RB programs
