What does a rink take from start to finish? 6-8 weeks? Foundation and a crap steel building...not like its a lot of finish work.

Clearly you're unemployed Want a job at the rink? Cafe is hiring.

Re: New England Sports Village video -

There you go, NAHL is moving a team there....I think it will be ready by next season!!!

Re: New England Sports Village video -

How do you figure they generate revenue?

Re: New England Sports Village video -

Owners pockets, ticket sales, maybe the league kicks in..

Owners pockets = Businessmen don't go into business to lose money.

Ticket Sales - How many people are going to choose to go to a Tier 2 Jr hockey game on avg 100, 200, 300?

League kick in - Why? What is the angle?

Perhaps there are 8-10 rural areas that can support a team like they do in the Mid West? I hope so. Would be a great option for the East Coast kids and bring down the cost of the Tier 3 leagues

Re: New England Sports Village video -

Maybe it's a loss leader for the owners to participate in other leagues or ventures. Sponsorship, tickets (I agree it will be hard to fill the seats 30 nights a year). But 22 teams are doing it in the NAHL and another 17 in the USHL.

Yes, they are doing it in other parts of the country, Typically these are rural towns that are a few hours from a major city and do not have any pro or major college sports teams nearby.

I hope this works out. Would be great!

Re: New England Sports Village video -

I'll go to the games just to support it!

Re: New England Sports Village video -

Me too, Once, maybe twice and then I will go back to my life. These teams work in rural areas because they are typically the only game in town.
