Maybe it's a loss leader for the owners to participate in other leagues or ventures. Sponsorship, tickets (I agree it will be hard to fill the seats 30 nights a year). But 22 teams are doing it in the NAHL and another 17 in the USHL.

Yes, they are doing it in other parts of the country, Typically these are rural towns that are a few hours from a major city and do not have any pro or major college sports teams nearby.

Me too, Once, maybe twice and then I will go back to my life. These teams work in rural areas because they are typically the only game in town.
