1) Are you willing to be taught skills by renown and well-respected coaches?
2) Is your long-term development of paramount importance to you?
3) Are you willing to work the hardest that you ever have before to become an exceptional skater and player to play at the next level?
Answer: Yes, yes and yes. Welcome to Lovell Hockey!
Getting to big, to fast. All they are doing is moving cattle now. Reminds me of AAU sports but a little more expensive. Their are better options out there.
oh yeah do and they will destroy and team around here and thats a fact jack, kings, terriers, you name it!
Where did most of their players come from? Did most of these kids leave their current team to relocate or are were they taken from local town teams to bolster the ranks.
Some came from EHF elite teams, some came from E9 teams, some came from EHF Tier 1 teams, some came from the BHL, and, yes, some came from town teams. No different than any other team in New England.
They probably never will, just like LK, BA and AI. Why do you need the teams posted ? If you are in then you know it. What does a roster on a website accomplish ?
If you are waiting for a roster online to see if you made it, welcome to youth hockey.
you will probably complain because Lovell doesn't put names on their jerseys either !
Hey, don't let the facts get in the way of your unsubstantiated conclusions. First, a question was asked, where is the complaint? Secondly, they most certainly did post the rosters last season and have removed them in anticipation of next season except for AI which still has some teams' rosters up. Names on a website accomplish letting everyone know who is on the roster. There are a myriad of reasons why someone may want to know who is playing on what team. Who asked or even mentioned about names on jerseys?
The whole organization could use one responsible, organized adult to run the non-hockey operations. But hey, why change now? It's been like this for almost 10 years.

Ok bud, ill play along.
No.. individual names were not on the rosters last year with the exception of a few individual teams, just like the year before and this year.
Names on a website accomplish nothing, who cares who is on the roster besides the parents so they can proudly see their kids name on a select club roster where theirs never appeared.
What is the myriad of reasons ? don't include parents in your answer and then give me your list. Which will probably include looking to see who made what team after they were cut somewhere else, or a kid made Elite when he was selected for Tier 1 or AAA somewhere else. Nobody is looking for your kids name but you !
I mentioned the names, because they are about as important as the roster names on the website...newsflash pal, they mean nothing too !
lets get focused on development and worry less about nhl style rosters, stickers on helmets and names on jerseys ! kids need something to look forward to !
Giants only have one team at the 05 level, which doesn't even have a full roster yet. I was only saying that HG coached alot of those Giants kids because they played on the Knights AAA team where he was teh coach.
and the reason it is elite is because they only have one team, That is not an "elite" team.
Great article about the NAHL's Northeast Generals coming to NESV yesterday. Wonder what impact this will have on the rinks getting done on schedule and overall for the Giants?
Hardest part in getting a new rink in is getting the plumbing laid for the ice sheet and the floor and foundation poured. If this is done, the rest will likely go pretty quick. So it could be done by September, barring any unforeseen issues.

this will be state of the art facility and will put alot of clubs out of business. The caps are pretty much done da done done done!

Most likely not. Other clubs will still exist as long as parents think that Little Johnny is better than everyone else on the team and just needs to move somewhere else so that he can have a chance. The only thing all these new clubs do is take more kids out of town hockey that should be in town hockey and water down the "select" levels even more.
Depends, they are letting a lot of the teams (Knights, BA, AI) for next season at all levels play some tournaments this spring as Tropics teams, which is great to get those teams together, but you may see a Tropics team at a tourney one week that is weak AAA BHL team and then see the actual Tropics selected team the following week in the same age group.
So you cant just base the skill level on the "tropics" logo anymore.
My son was offered a spot on an EHF team and that was his first choice. Can we get our money back?
Yes, the program has a contractual obligation to return a partial amount of your funds. Given this program will be entering the MPDHL next I would certainly recommend getting out asap.

So your kid didnt make the EHF team at tryouts 2 months ago, was now offered a spot because said EHF team lost players and is trying to fill a spot so they moved on to your son and your thinking of leaving a team that he did make to go sit on the bench at the EHF. Just do your kid a favor and keep him where he is or play tier 1 and let him develop. sitting the bench during the games and getting little focus during practice on the EHF team is not going to help your kid. only your ego of saying he plays "elite" hockey.

Where do you people come up with this garbage? My son is a goalie. The other goalie moved bc of his parents work Relo. I asked a simple question. Can I get any money back?

yes people on this board are nuts. I tried to ask a simple question and got some pretty lame responses too! can you get your money back is completely up to the organization. Some have no refund policies some dont. You unfortunately need to check with the team but to be honest i wouldn't expect it since you can obviously see the E9 and EHf are not exactly friends but they will know if your jumping ship so expect push back.
Some of you act so surprised that you get the responses that you get on this board. Let me give you a hint...when you ask people stupid questions in real life, this is what they are thinking. Of course, most of us are too polite to tell you what we really think, but this is what we're thinking. So if you are consistently feeling like you are treated rudely on this board, it's likely that you ask stupid questions and in real life too, and people think you are a boor.

The vitriol responses are because the Nerds from high school that got picked on all the time and couldnt actually play hockey now have kids who are playing and they are trying to live their glory days through them, can also now sit behind a keyboard and try and act tough. Instead of thumping your chest and acting like you are gods gift either shut up or answer the question.

Haha, so true. The majority of club hockey parents never played hockey or a competitive sport for that matter. It's comical to hear them at games discussing this and that, trying to act like a knowledge wizard. Before and after games they run up to the coach like he is a NHL star kissing ass.
Giants team camps are about to kick off in Raynham. There should be an early indication of how competitive the teams will be.
by "about to kick off", do you mean in a few months ???? most Giants teams don't even have a full roster or coaches yet !
05 and 07 teams definitely full and look decent. Could possibly compete at EHF tier 1 white division. 04 and 06 teams not so much, neither team has a goalie or full roster. Rink on target for 2017.

Your definition of "decent" and mine must differ. They will build a decent program eventually but to say that they are looking decent is a stretch.
you might be right, but how would you know if they haven't played a game yet? It is a new program and it will not rock the hockey foundations in year 1. what I would be looking for is a good coach, good skills program and a decent group of parents. in this order. Everyone who makes you believe that in order to succeed at the age of 14 and above you need to play in a certain league at the age of 8-10 is blowing hot air.

Cant beat Lovell skills, that is for sure. Parents are a great point that is often overlooked. But being present at the evals for some of those teams and being familiar with a group of kids from one of the teams. There will be a steep learning curve.
The 03 and 07 95 Giants played very well in Foxboro this weekend and took home some hardware.
yes the competition was stiff against those Town B kids.
Well, what do you expect? They will be playing in BHL National league which is town B level at best.
Nothing better than a grown man criticizing young kids who did well on a new team. Pathetic and I hope your kid isn't turning into the douche his father is

Who was criticizing the kids? Pointing out the Chest pumping parent about summer hardware is the point. Im sure the kids worked real hard no matter what level it was. Still does not take away the fact that summer competition is much lower than the regular season and a "grown man" is all pumped up about it.
So I need to have played hockey for my kid to perform at a high level? I never played or wanted to play hockey, can barely skate for that matter, but my kid actually wants to be at the rink. The decision to play hockey was his, not his dads who maybe played D3 hockey and is forcing hockey in his kid.
Everyone knows the kid/father im talking about...the dad, maybe asst coach but most likely the blowhard in the stands, who is happy to tell everyone how good he was while his kids favorite part of going to practice is playing on his ipad in the locker room. The part i like the most is seeing the faces of you has been, douche bags when my kid is out performing your kid.
Too bad for you, more kids are playing hockey now...its not like 20-30 years ago when anyone who knew how to skate played D3.

Another amazing analysis by a parent who never played hockey. This guys knows about D3 and how / why players made teams 20-30 years ago. Amazing!
Another reply from a know it all, has been who last played a competitive sport 30 years ago.
Actually if you knew anything you would know back in 1984 I happen to be the leading scorer for my peewee team in the VHL , I would have been drafted but I got a knee injury .

We wouldn't know that, but I'm sure that Pierre McGuire would have known it.

Really going on a crusade of lies at 6:28am huh? Grow up
Team camps start soon in Raynham. Time to see what the teams will look like.
Who cares it's BHL. The worst scheduling system, parity awful, E9 founding program bids comical, league website is a joke, list goes on and on. Anyway you slice it the BHL/E9 is JV.

yes sorry your experience with this league was terrible but being drunk and bashing people at 1:00 am tends to show your a little too bitter. Time to get some therapy and let go of the disappointment.

yes because we know that websites make all the difference in the world for those scouts coming to get your 10 year old signed up.

not that the above statement is actually accurate, but even if it was. Those are probably the last four things I would ever take into consideration on where my kid should play

I'll bite. I'll give you the website one (although with so many coaches being terrible communicators I find I have to rely on the website for accurate game information), but if having a rational schedule, reasonable parity, and keeping ridiculous politics out aren't important when selecting a club team, what is in your Top 3?

1 - Development
2 - skill acquisition by means of high level skill instruction
3 - Development/coaching
and I like the pre season parity as opposed to the end of season parity for next season, also, schedules for hockey seem pretty basic to me, what is not rational about the E9 schedule ?
