It's awesome that this organization is getting noticed. The owners seem to have organized things very well from the beginning and are putting in the right coaches and skill instructors. We'll see how the teams fare, but, don't be surprised if this program becomes a choice place to play in the near future. Kudos to the parents and players that took the leap!
Looks like someone pulled it from Stan Lee's garbage can.
What are Giants doing about ice now that high school is starting up at Raynham?
Not going be solved anytime soon. Games cancelled. And no ice in Attleboro anytime soon. Even now ice in Raynham/Hingham is scarce for Giants teams to squeeze into possible odd slots. Too many teams, not enough ice for weekend games.
Expect this thru at least November..
Lenghthy discussion about this on the Town Board under the SSC thread.
Again, this is a disaster if the rinks are not open by thanksgiving once High School Starts and rinks start losing Ice to College and High School programs
Plus the issue with the multiple high school teams that contracted ice for this season in Attleboro will have to take additional ice elsewhere.
So how do we fix the problem. No kid should be without ice?
Took a ride by today and saw the zambonis on site. Looks like they have ice.
Have had Zamboni's for a while..
Any news on when the ice will be ready?
1 week for ice on main rink
week after Thanksgiving
Ice is almost frozen, kids will be skating next week. come on by and check us out!
Are the locker rooms ready?
I'm painting them tonight
With the new facility opening Friday, this program is going to take off.
Is it true the foxboro pro league will be run out of NESV in 2017?
Took a swing by. This place is amazing. They did it right.
I saw a General's' post on Twitter with photos of the rink and the bleacher section doesn't look all that huge. How many sheets with seating do they have? Was I looking at the little rink?
the main rink has 750 and rink 2 has only 250.
Not too bright..
Once things settle my kid wants to leave foxboro and sign up for this program. Best skills, best coaches, best facility, the list goes on and on. All I can say is wow! This program has it all.
I gotta say, I don't blame him. All his buddies are talking about it and everything the program is doing is top notch, they are not cutting corners anywhere.
Hats off to the Lovell family for making this dream a reality as fast as they did. Now more kids will have the opportunity to skate and play for a premiere program in thbest facily in the northeast.
Glad they got it done for December, this is a great move with High School starting !
Plus, we will start to see all of the "EHF" bags back at the Iceplex now that walk on skills will start again !
Joe and Tim bought ice. And lots of it. Upfront.
However, They do not run the facility.. not even close
Checked out the village yesterday. What an amazing facility!
Is there just one rink open at this time or more than one?
The two full size sheets are up.
Anyone know if we can get skates sharpened on site?
Played our first game over at the new rink this past weekend and that place is fabulous. The ice is outstanding. Kids loved it!
Are there walk on skills at that place? If is so what are the days and times?
Check out the Lovell Hockey website. Schedule is posted.
Not Joe, but you're welcome.
there are at least 3 teams that will be making the switch over to 95 Giants next year. How many do you know of?
Sweet facility! This program is going to be top notch!
They are coming because of a new building, 2 miles away are the saints a legit E9 team. Im confused why these kids are coming.
Yeah that 05 Saints team has lost there best players to SSK and Caps over the past 3 seasons and the kids were from all over RI. Listen Saints dad you brought up the Saints in the post. I just chose that team as an example so stop being defensive. Just stating facts. The 05 Caps team is good, but needs to score more and way too many ties. They would destroy the 05 Saints. 5-15 in E9 is not good friend.
Saints aren't in the discussion of people going there. They're a stepping stone for players trying to make EHF.
Driving from South County/Kent County to Burriville for games isn't a big difference from Foxboro, and 146 is a heck of a lot closer than Burriville or St. George's.
So don't worry Saints Dad, no one will leave, or come to you. You're the frustrated one friend. We get it...
What's happening with rink? Heard there is a lawsuit if some kind?
son plays for the caps. we will be leaving.
Giants will be scouting the caps kids this weekend at JWK TO DETERMINE WHICH PLAYERS THEY WANT FOR Giants teams. Please play your best.
Give it a rest blue, green and now orange Kool-Aid drinkers. Most overrated program you can imagine. There are a lot of crappy ones out there but a total scam for the money. Go watch a knights or a giant practice. Either a crony daddy friend of the Lovell's or JL sitting off to the side blowing a whistle running open line drills for an hour. Every year the knights end up with rejects from other programs. No one on one instruction. Look at the quality of the players and the wins and losses. Limited developing going on there. They produced strong 02'2 at BA because of his son. Every other birthyear in everyone of his programs is weak Massive turn over every year. Week league. Even in his older levels those kids still have to go to the Kings or Islanders or junior Bruins to play juniors to develop to play in college. Sorry folks but that is the truth.
2 teams on life support to the north and the south, 05 Caps and 05 Kings. Sure to be a lot of kids coming over at the 05 level due to current implosion status.
I thought the 05 Kings were good? No?
Last night resulted in several players signing that were looking for a different direction and better skills.
Does anyone know which age level needs the most players?
Whose coaching the 06 team? Heard Timmy Lovell is that true?
I heard that Joe Lovell is coaching the 05 Giants.
Does anyone know the status of the 04 and 05 teams? I heard some of the players were moved to the LK's.
The 07 team looked very competitive today with full team, too. Go GIANTS!
you are talking about 8 year olds... lol
The 08's look solid and will be well coached.
Have fun in the 95 traffic!
Thanks....Sharon to Attleboro will take a whole 15 minutes.
Better then a daddy coach sorry your kid didn't make the team!
Agreed but it looks like the saints are revived and players are migrating back.
Saints now have convenient locations and good numbers.
When it is up and running, what's going to be more convenient that right off of I-95 with state of the art facilities and with some of the best skills around?
The supplemental tryout this week is a but if a concern. Hopefully, all of the teams get a full complement of players.
The Giants will be making an impact in summer tournaments. Here we go!
Within a couple of seasons, this organization will be another Lovell success story like BA, AI, and LK.
With the facilities it might be their flagship program...wouldn't doubt it for a second.
Supposedly all skills for 95's and LK's will be moved there by 2017.
It's only early April but don't be surprised if the rinks are ready to go in September. The pool, fields, and hotel are not a concern.
