ECS is for decent players who parents have a lot of $$$ to travel overseas on a vacation. Not much to it.

Actually he did as well as a bunch of his teammates who all got the $5000 cost and passed on it so your little johnny could go as they moved down the list. A lot of kids get asked…and a lot of parents laugh at the cost and decline the offer.

This is accurate. They probably have to invite about 200 players to get 20 kids to opt in. Its not bender hockey but its not some international best of the best either. Its usually run of the mill elite players who parents fork over huge $$$ to play overseas. Nothing wrong with it but its not some selective tournament.
