Such a loser , you must just troll on here and have negative comments towards every ones post's . FYI Donkey , if you had a clue you would know this is a real solid and competitive tourney teams from all over the country , some of the best summer teams around . So you know that as of today at the 02 U14 level alone there are currently 46 teams from all over the country signed up , and last year alone there were over 80 scouts from prep / OHL / USHL / D1 / and D3 schools .
Must suck that your kid never gets asked to play in these very fun tourney's keep trolling loser . Enjoy the VHL this year
To the OP yes have your 03 play in it , please it is a blast .
Hey D-bag!
Go make a real living!
Don't suck these poor people for more $ on blind dreams and empty promises. Any kid with a heartbeat and a check can play in any of these tourneys.
You definitely have a stake in the tourney, and/or s spring/summer program.

Struck a nerve EH ! Sorry your kid doesn't get asked to play in these money grab tourney's . They are fun by the way . My kid loves this one . By your thinking wouldn't every tournament during the season be a money grab or just the ones your kid doesn't play in ?
This is Merica kids can dream and have a great time playing on a weekend in the summer with and against friends , and in this case kids from all over North America . I choose to let my kid dream , sorry yours plays in the VHL .
No by the way not every kid can play just by writing a check , that is why yours is home playing Xbox that weekend .
Three divisions over 70 teams , yeah this tourney sucks . lololol
Actually there are currently there are 86 teams registered right now , yeah must be a real awful tourney gonna be a real crappy weekend .
So you're saying there are 86 teams filled with college prospects? I don't think so. Doesn't the number of teams play into the other guy's argument?
I don't think it does , he seems to think all these tourneys are junk and useless , I think the fact that there are so many teams points to the fact that this is a good and fun tournament . Who cares about scouts , 99.9 percent of these kids are not going anywhere , but it is fun for them to dream and have a fun weekend at the same time .
Whenever people ***** about tourneys and say money grab , it is obvious to me that there kid never gets to play in them .

But if there are 86 teams in the tourney, don't you think he could get his kid in if he wanted to? It doesn't sound like they're too selective.
With respect to money grab, that depends on how the owners sell the tournament. Are they claiming this to be only high end players, with a chance to play in front of college and prep scouts? Or are they just providing a fun place for youth players to get some ice on a summer weekend? Does the tournament deliver on its promises? I think that's the criteria for determining whether it's a money grab.
just another spring/summer tournament. do it if your kid is looking to get on the ice, but nothing special there.
^^^
Exactly. Just another spring/summer tournament. My son's regular season coach is using it as a team building exercise to just get the team out there to skate together and compete together before we get to the regular season. The team has a lot of new players for the coming season, so just a chance to get them together to play. Could care less how they do. If your son was invited to play, then go for it. Ice time is ice time if he wants to do it.
We have visited a few preps this past winter/spring and coaches have asked if we were attending, so there might be some coaches in the stands or at least watching the roster stats. Granted we are not attending, might be worth it for some.
