why would any teams leave the FED or E9 to join this league? its not like competition is going to get better on these lower level town teams.

The best thing about this board is all the ignorance .

that was enlightening. Please bless us with your wisdom and answer the question. All these teams already have option for tier 1 and elite. What would Fed and E9 teams move to this league when the MPDHL teams already cant compete with FEd or E9 teams?

The ignorance I speak of is your last sentence .....

There are plenty of kids in MPDHL , EJEPL and other leagues that are just as good as some of the FED elite kids . Be thankful they didn't could you imagine if every FED team had 200 kids at each age level for tryouts and was the only league around , trust me when I say if this was the case your kid would not be playing . There are plenty of good players in other leagues .

hurts when others are correct and your kid cant cut it in the FED or E9. there isnt one MDPHL, EJ or other NE league teams that compete with Fed or E9 teams on a regular basis. Sure they may win a game or 2 but is that what you really want? Of course there are kids that are just as good on these other teams but there maybe 1 or 2. not enough and thats what we are talking about here. The EJ showcase this weekend showed that when local town teams can go 500 or better then you have a problem calling yourself elite.

Re: MPDHL no longer

Not happening this year, but it's definitely happening next year and the effect will be complete opposite of what captain Fed is preaching here. They are adding a Tier 1 level, not to be confused with the feds tier 2 level that they just name tier 1 for ego purposes.

Think about it. Your kid plays on a crappy fed tier 1 afterthought team. I'm talking to you caps, Kings, top gun, bandits, basically everyone in that league at the second level. If your kid is any good on a fed tier 1 team or a bottom feeder on an EHF elite team having an option that is between the top fed teams and their joke of a tier 1 level you're opting to play a legit tier 1 team all day long instead of being on a number two team option in a tier 2 league. It's a no-brainer that the competition level will only increase because of this in that new league.

This move basically eliminates the second levels in both the Fed and E9/BHL Now whether it continues to water down hockey in the area in general is a totally different discussion.

Boston stars, Crimson and other crappy programs are all getting the boot. They will end up in the EMHL, and affiliate of the fed.

A real data point to consider is the top four teams at the premier level in the MPDHL have competed against the top tier 1 teams in the Fed as well as too BHL teams and beat the tar out of the mid to lower level teams in both leagues for the last few years.

Fact.

Sorry but unless at the elite level the Fed is now just any old joke of a league.

You do know that Tier 1 EHF and BHL are equivalent to town B teams, and the lower level teams in both leagues are kids who were cut from town B Teams ? othing to beat your chest about !

Actually what i found from competition and knowing players at the different levels is Tier 1 Black and BHL american are more Town A teams and the White and National are more B level with the EMHL rounding out the bottom dwellers and C teams.

Agree

Re: MPDHL no longer

Not a chance. Look at the joke of USPHL teams at youth level. Crappy and mid tier 2 teams last year trying to play up. Fed won't fall for this and doesn't change. Sorry.

You are wrong and it is already happening! The major players in the USHL are some of the Major players in the FED. Tier 2 Jr hockey is already making it's way into New England. The wheels are in motion. It probably won't affect you much although your annual tuition is going to go up as are the rest of the lower level players tuition. The good thing is your kid will finally be playing in the top FED league and you can brag at work.

Re: MPDHL no longer

Tier 2 Junior hockey does not have a chance in New England. Jersey Hitmen lost to the Kings today 10 to nothing. Good luck in your new league!

All teams will be able to have an elite and tier 1 team.
