Re: Boston Breakout

Anyone know anything about the Montgomery team or the Canadian team (Clarence)?

Re: Boston Breakout

Could not find anything on Montgomery team, except they are located in Maryland, couldn't find in MHR. The Clerance Mustangs out of Western NY, and were #43 according to MHR end of last season rankings, which was lowest out of the teams entered.

NJ Colonials #3
LI Gulls #8
IHC #10
Eagles #11
NY Saints #14
Minutemen #18
Caps #21
BA #22
VJW #23
Spartans #27
Top Gun #28
SS Kings #29
CT Oilers #35
Vipers #41
Mustangs #43

NJ Titans?
Montgomerry Blue Devils?

Re: Boston Breakout

The Montgomery team is solid. High AA. If they played in Mass they'd be AAA, win E9 and probably finish anywhere 3rd through 5th in Fed. Mass has too many teams labeled aaa when they really aren't at all.

I've got news for you. Outside of 1 to (maybe) 4 programs in the 06 Fed Elite Division; none of these teams here in Massachusetts are AAA Elite. Regardless of what MHR or your league says. Not even the self proclaimed Elite 9 league... and my kid plays for an E9 06 'Elite team'.

That's great We are talking 05s not 06s. Your right about one thing tho - the E9 06 is a very weak level of play. Basically 2- 06 fed black level teams, 2 - 06 fed white level teams, the rest are town B and C level teams. Just play town and save some money.

HAHAHAHAH. More idiotic statements from people with zero clue. VJW, Seacoast and BA can play with any team in the 06 FED. If the FED had any balls, there would be a game played between the E9 and FED champ at each year level. that would settle this debate once and for all.

The top teams do play throughout the year in tournaments as well as organized scrimmages. Apparently you 06 son is not on a top E9 team or you would know these games take place. Oh and the FED teams win.

Always the same response from you FED dads. Please show me when such games took place. As in the Boston Breakout, there are teams from both E9 and FED, yet the scheduler conveniently made sure that they did not play each other.

Go to MHR select team in question and view schedule. You will see the games are on there, it's not that hard. The Breakout is setup so greater Boston teams play teams from outside the area.

Re: Boston Breakout

I love reading all of the "classifications" you parents give to all of the different levels of play, what are these kids 10, 11? in about 5-6 years it's not going to matter, you will see and many of your balloons will be popped.

Yeah man.... Let me guess that's when all the other kids "catch up" right? That's a crock of crap And does not happen.
Sorry your kid got cut!

Living in right now, my oldest is a Bantam Major, kids that at 11 couldn't even keep up in practice are now side by side with "the young studs", you will see.

Settle the debate once and for all?? What is wrong with you man? You and whoever you're having this "debate" with need to find a hobby. It's not that serious. Take it down a notch. The breakout should be fun. My son is looking forward to some good competition and doesn't care who he plays. He just wants to have fun which is what this is supposed to be about

No 10 year old kid is an elite hockey player. Pure nonsense that a lot of people buy into just like the owners want us to.

You're right. What I mean to say is a very small group of teams from Mass can truly compete with teams from other states that have a complete team of AAA level players.

Re: Boston Breakout

are you an idiot... elite, tier 1, aa etc.. it is just a ranking system.. yes there are elite 9 year olds because there are some 9 year olds that are at the highest level of the ranking system.

Re: Boston Breakout

Losing to them is not possible. My concern is that the competition level is dropping off. Promoting the program as an elite program is a complete falsehood. They play at the Tier 1 level any way you slice it.

Looks like the Boston Outlaws dropped out. They played in the Warriors tournament over the weekend and went to the finals. They would have been good competition in the breakout.

What league do the Outlaws play in?

Re: Boston Breakout

Boston Outlaws = Greater Boston Vipers. Same team. Same classy group of parents.

Snakes in the rink!

Re: Boston Breakout

The Superseries folks have this down when it comes to the scheduling. They will let any team in as the want the money but what they do when it comes to scheduling is they take each teams ranking from last year and have them play similar rankings to create parity. Just look at the 05 schedule the Vipers do not play any highly rated teams from last year whereas the Philly Little Flyers play all the top ranked teams from last year. Keeps the games competitive and is a good format.

Hope this helps.
