Re: Boston Breakout

I've got news for you. Outside of 1 to (maybe) 4 programs in the 06 Fed Elite Division; none of these teams here in Massachusetts are AAA Elite. Regardless of what MHR or your league says. Not even the self proclaimed Elite 9 league... and my kid plays for an E9 06 'Elite team'.

No 10 year old kid is an elite hockey player. Pure nonsense that a lot of people buy into just like the owners want us to.

You're right. What I mean to say is a very small group of teams from Mass can truly compete with teams from other states that have a complete team of AAA level players.

Re: Boston Breakout

are you an idiot... elite, tier 1, aa etc.. it is just a ranking system.. yes there are elite 9 year olds because there are some 9 year olds that are at the highest level of the ranking system.

Losing to them is not possible. My concern is that the competition level is dropping off. Promoting the program as an elite program is a complete falsehood. They play at the Tier 1 level any way you slice it.

Looks like the Boston Outlaws dropped out. They played in the Warriors tournament over the weekend and went to the finals. They would have been good competition in the breakout.

What league do the Outlaws play in?

Re: Boston Breakout

Boston Outlaws = Greater Boston Vipers. Same team. Same classy group of parents.

Snakes in the rink!

Re: Boston Breakout

The Superseries folks have this down when it comes to the scheduling. They will let any team in as the want the money but what they do when it comes to scheduling is they take each teams ranking from last year and have them play similar rankings to create parity. Just look at the 05 schedule the Vipers do not play any highly rated teams from last year whereas the Philly Little Flyers play all the top ranked teams from last year. Keeps the games competitive and is a good format.

Hope this helps.
