Max Pro...
Not happening this year, but it's definitely happening next year and the effect will be complete opposite of what captain Fed is preaching here. They are adding a Tier 1 level, not to be confused with the feds tier 2 level that they just name tier 1 for ego purposes.
Think about it. Your kid plays on a crappy fed tier 1 afterthought team. I'm talking to you caps, Kings, top gun, bandits, basically everyone in that league at the second level. If your kid is any good on a fed tier 1 team or a bottom feeder on an EHF elite team having an option that is between the top fed teams and their joke of a tier 1 level you're opting to play a legit tier 1 team all day long instead of being on a number two team option in a tier 2 league. It's a no-brainer that the competition level will only increase because of this in that new league.
This move basically eliminates the second levels in both the Fed and E9/BHL Now whether it continues to water down hockey in the area in general is a totally different discussion.
Boston stars, Crimson and other crappy programs are all getting the boot. They will end up in the EMHL, and affiliate of the fed.
A real data point to consider is the top four teams at the premier level in the MPDHL have competed against the top tier 1 teams in the Fed as well as too BHL teams and beat the tar out of the mid to lower level teams in both leagues for the last few years.
Fact.
Sorry but unless at the elite level the Fed is now just any old joke of a league.

Agree
Not a chance. Look at the joke of USPHL teams at youth level. Crappy and mid tier 2 teams last year trying to play up. Fed won't fall for this and doesn't change. Sorry.
Tier 2 Junior hockey does not have a chance in New England. Jersey Hitmen lost to the Kings today 10 to nothing. Good luck in your new league!
