06 Level - EHF versus E9

Not even my son's age group but I wanted to keep whatever debate is going to happen tomorrow out of the purpose of the tournament. Go ahead and argue away. Could care less.

Actually, there are 5-6 teams in that '06 EHF Tier 1 Black that would beat the majority of the E9. No offense.

Who cares. If your kid doesn't play in ehf or e9 why is it so important? It's youth hockey. Suppose to be fun and a great experience for the kids whatever league they play in. Not for D-bags parents to rant and rave what team/league is better. Life is too short to be so petty about what young kids other than your own are doing.

sounds like EHF parents had a bad weekend of hockey. Funny thing is their kids probably don't give a crap. Except for the fact their coaches are bag skating them tonight for losing winnable games.

Most E9 06 kids I know don't even know the EHF or other similar leagues exist, including the higher-end skilled players that are as good as any in the region. They don't ever talk about it or mention it. They love their league, are familiar with many of the kids they play against, and have a blast playing hockey. They get it.

It's any 06 kid..not just E9. Kids don't know the difference. Parents do. But your a perfect example of how Parents are the problem because you only included E9 kids

Well then something must have changed between the 2004s and 2006s because all the kids on my son's team know (and knew) the difference between the NEHL/E9 and EHF.

So it must have been you and the other players telling your kid the difference because I know my 06 who plays in the EHF has no clue. I don't care so it's not discussed. There are good players and good teams in both, it varies year to year. My Son plays were he gets play time and develops. The end. Maybe you should think why your kid thinks there is any difference

I have boys at both the 04 and 06. The E9 is weak at the 04 level. The 06 level is strong and anyone can beat one another on any given day. The top 7 in E9 06 division can compete and win their share vs most EHF teams. This has been proven over the last few years at this level. Just look at the quality of teams at 06 E9 invitational in Feb.

And you sound as bad as any other EHF or E9 I have ever heard go on like this. Here is a hint: Its your kids game, not yours and he reslly doesn't care which league he is in. He cares that he has a fair coach, has made some great friends and memories and can compete in th games without getting blown out and sprinkleling in some wins.

What he doesn't care about is all the chest pumping Dads living vicariously through their kids who think they will only make it somewhere if they are in the best league on the best team so they continuously chase that for their kid since they went no where... or better yet, never even played High School hockey.

No owner is going crazy.You know why? Because we all pay $3000 plus to watch our kids play hockey and deep down the owners don't care cuz they will find more suckers like us to pay it. This whole e9 vs Fed elite argument is just ridiculous cuz in the end it doesn't matter what league your kid played in or who beat who at the age of 10. I can guarantee you there is a town team out there in the state of MA right now that could beat your precious e9 or fed team.I think that some of you would jump off the tallest building you could find if that were to happen.Enjoy it while you can cuz in a few short years it will be over and then the real hockey starts and then you'll finally come to the realization how idiotic you sounded all those years back.

No, a lot of these kids play together in the spring/summer and they are aware that there is another league. They all know who the top players are in their age group and where they play (be it EHF or E9). There's more awareness on the kids' part than you suggest, is all I'm saying. Maybe I see things a little differently because my '04 has played in both leagues.

I'm not crazy. This is an 06 thread. I am 110% certain my kid has never been on the dboard to read these comments. He has never heard of the dboard. Heck, there are Parents on my kids team who have never heard of the dboard and those that have who find it a waste of time. But for certain my kid has never been on. He also has no concept of the difference between leagues. He has friends that play E9, BHL and town and he only knows they play in different leagues. If your 10 year old gets on the dboard and reads this stuff then you are the crazy one

I think VJW lost to the last place E9 team but that was earlier in the season

"Over the course of three days, the Warriors played five games, topping the South Shore Kings 06 Elite, 3-2, Boston Jr. Eagles 06 Elite 5-4, Rhode Island Saints 06 Elite 7-0, tied Top Gun 06 Elite 2-2, and finally besting the South Shore Kings 06 Elite, again, 3-2, 22 seconds into overtime, in what was a fast paced and thrilling Championship game."

So why is RG so up in arms? They beat the kings (6-9-2); Eagles (8-8-3); and tied TG (4-11-2)... all in a memorial tournament over Christmas break. Way to pound your chest VJW Dad! Your first reaction was to get on the dboard and announce the E9's dominance.

It will be fun seeing all that gold and blue at the Fed skates over the next few weeks as tryout season begins.
