OP had some details that make it sounds true. This logically makes sense. For all of you who don't think this would happen and things are fine the way they are, keep in mind that the old EJHL was a great junior league before the current brass blew it up to create the USPHL

i love when people make stuff up. So your now telling me a Supplemental youth league is going to bring in the top teams in the north east and turn it into a super league with 30+ games per season. So these owners are going to lose money to offset a non tuition junior league? your out of your mind. but keep wishing big guy.

No idea if OP is correct, BUT one thing that never made sense to me was the addition of the Patriots to E9 (instead of having to play in) without the subtraction of another team.

Since its inception, the E9 has six automatic teams (Advantage, Wizards, Rangers, Warriors, Seacoast, and Avalanche) and three spots up for grabs. With the Patriots now in (see E9 web site), the obvious question was if they were replacing another team.

This team could be Advantage.

I think you are 100% right. Pats will take the automatic bid which will be left vacant by the departing Advantage.

Geographically this makes sense. Organizations are spread out enough to get the best of the best. 30 game regular-season with showcases and playoffs. These are NE's T1 teams. Everyone else becomes tier 2 and tier 3.

Never going to happen though. Too many egos. Islanders and Warriors owner hate each other. Lovell and King's/Terriers don't get along.

Legacy Fed and e9 owners with crap programs won't let go, and egos won't work together to do what's best for hockey.

I think Lovell gets along fine with BJT and SSK, it's just everyone in the EHF that is scared to play him and refuses to work with the new giant that would stand in the way

This has been confirmed. Spoke to a highly reliable source that this is now in the works. It will be a North Division and a South Division in the USPHL Youth. Each division will play within that division for three weekends a month. The fourth weekend will be a travel weekend where the visiting teams will either travel or host.

Announcement will be forthcoming.

The sticking point currently is that the teams are required to provide bus transportation per insurance policies. This goes all the way from U10 and up. "Regional teams that travel must provide safe and adequate transportation"

Once the bus situation is worked out, there will be an announcement.

This is one of the reason's RG purchased a Q bid; so that this new league would have at least 1 bid to the tournament. Smart move once again.

I'm in the insurance business and there is nothing that would prohibit this. If parents sign a waiver they can take their kids. No way a bus clause is getting in the way of this.

What if it was a van? Can they get past the bus clause with a van? Like those super Mercedes or something similar?

Not defending the poster who confirmed but I also heard something similar. Not as concrete as the prior poster just some "on the glass" banter but this does make sense. The only thing that doesn't is the so called bus clause. I don't get that.

Anytime a new league (or program) is formed you need USA Hockey approval. You submit your application, it goes under review, then you are asked to present your case/rules/blah blah blah. This process takes many months. No such application has been submitted, so ain't happening for next year. Sorry Rumorville, you need some other BS to talk about.

Youth hockey was good about 25 years ago when kids played town and then the real elite players were selected to play for there District represented team in the Mass Select League or in the Original Metro Boston League. There was never more than 15-20 "Elite" "Select" or "AAA" programs. Now there are 40+!!! Chew on that for a second.

Not looking to add to the drama but I have a buddy who's brother-in-law works with a guy familiar with National Bus Sales. He said a certain high-profile person with ties to the EHF as well as the USPHL was inquiring about at 2010 Thomas HDX, seats 44 and has 150K on the clock. He specifically asked if they could color match paint if he brought in a jersey.

So I'm not sayin this a go but this is not just a coincidence either. You tell me this ain't happenin.

Will this new league have an All-Star game like the EHF?

Take "all star" roster when released. Compare with coaches names from league there will be lots of similarities.

I am glad that the All-Star game will continue.

I am simply happy that my son is rostered on an EHF team. The reality is that if he couldn't play EHF hockey, he would have played soccer instead.

So as you can imagine, it was the honor of our lifetimes when he was selected for the EHF All-Stars.

My son has never been an EHF All-Star and yet he is in the starting lineup of all his prep school games. How can this be?

Tournament on the Cape this weekend. Waiting for my "Town" kid's practice.
The tournament ran longer than expected.
Finals, an EHF team against a "Town" team from New York.
02' Level the EHF team was terrible. No puck movement, standing still and lack of any defense. Goalie was very good, "Gabe" they were yelling. No he is not my kid! Yes they did make it to the finals, but I am glad I did not have to watch that all weekend.
I know not all the EHF teams are like this but it just goes to show if you have some money you can get your kid on a team.
It seems to be very watered down.
Just to have some fathers say their kid plays in the EHF with their buddies at work.
Letters do not mean too much!
