Lot of moving around in the works. Of course the Bandit/Breakers is the big thing. Heard BA losing a few studs to EHF teams. AVP picking up a stud player from EHF. Flames seem to be status quo, depending on what the IHC does. Saying that, heard IHC picked up 2 players from E9 teams. Have heard nothing on VJW and Seacoast teams. Seacoast has a player that could be the best in either league. Lets go people, spill the beans!
Get a life. End of thread
The Seacoast kid is explosive, just blows by kids.
Sounds like your kid still got cut, get a life troll.
Lot's of moves happening. With the depth of talent at the 06 level, there has been discussion of a team being put together as an independent super team. Rumors of kids from MMF, IHC, BA, BJE, VJW, and BJT in play.
Team will be centrally located in the Boston area. The focus will be skills and regional showcases. This is happening. So far parents that have kids in the top tier have been approached and are waiting for who is committing before finalizing. Guy looking to run this is an ex-NHL player who recently retired from business and would like to help develop local talent.
Who is running the show?
They won't need to play EHF teams. There are plenty of teams to play East of Toronto who are independent. Philly Jr Flyers, Montgomery, Jr. Penns, not to mention the Canadian teams and Chicago Detroit teams that participate in super series. Why hold yourselves down to the EHF and E9 locally? I like the idea, and think focusing on skills and regional games is better. No, my kid hasn't been asked but I hope this works out.
Care to name who this person is that is sponsoring this?
Nothing firm will be announced until a core group of players are secured. Top kids from MMF, IHC, BJE and BJT being pursued. Parents on the fence due to travel and expense.
Can't name the person but they are an ex NHL player who's son is a fantastic goalie from the west coast.
Nick Vachon is not coming back to Massachusetts. He is firmly entrenched in the JR. Kings program. Besides his kid is an '05. Nice try.
You wait, this will be topic of discussion at every rink for this week's practices. A subtle, "Did you get asked or hear about some regional super team?"
Just curious but who reaches out to the families? Is it through email? Phone? I've checked my spam folders and haven't seen anything. I'll check again.
We mock what we don't understand
So what you are telling me is a bunch of the better kids from different leagues are moving to the EHF 2 years before the "Q" and there is a 10 year old in NH that can skate... let me guess he is going to the EHF also! Next thing your going to tell me is the earth is round and the teams are picked before tryouts...okay back to work everyone nothing new here...thanks for the entertainment!
Youth hockey reminds me of an old friend.
I'm sure the Q a great tournament - and I know there have been many great players who have played in it. But is spending 10 days in Quebec which is a huge expense, and the likelihood of a local team doing anything is slim - is it that big a deal? I mean really - who gives a crap about the Q?
From over there.
Why would players be leaving BA? Aren't they in first place?
Can we change the title and subject of this post to 06 Level Moms? :-)
Wouldn't make sense to say that BA is in first because kids are being developed correctly! Haven't attended all the games, but, for most part, all kids are getting equitable playing time ! A lot more equitable than teams that aren't in first!
