Islanders fielding teams (thanks to purchasing Riverhawks) in fed elite, tier 1, mpdhl, usphl, and Mass Selects. Big changes next year
sounds good - what about Top Gun? They doing anything? I heard many jumping ship over there to look at teams that are playing in Amesbury?
No one is jumping to top gun, that's just a stupid question
This is somewhat true. Multiple kids from each level going to TG. From the parents I've talked to it comes down to coaching. They feel the TG model is a much better model than IHC. Being a basement dweller for most of the season allows players to gain mental toughness, fortitude and grit. Plus the frustration the kids feel while playing helps a ton.
Yes, some kids loose it and slash / head-hunt / cheap-shot other players because of this but the coaches use some sort of reverse psychology by encouraging it rather than stopping it. Hard to tell how that approach is working; I can't seem to draw any conclusion.
hence the reputation of top goons any one that goes to tg has to be really hurting for a team
And this is why you Sir are an idiot
why am I an idiot because I speak the truth you must play for top goons bender cant make a good team lol
No TG Bender here, just someone who knows no one would jump IHC for TG.
Looks like Islanders are looking for skaters from outside the EHF/Islanders/Dual State pool of players to fill all those slots from their Riverhawks purchase.
