There isn't 15 all stars in the E9

E9 is at +15.5

I don't have an 05 but I would lay the 15.5 goals...and take the EHF
Tournament games I've seen between the leagues aren't blowouts seen many E9 wins. Not sure why it's so important for people on this board to believe in a youth hockey league's superiority. Weird.

Sorry your kid is in the E9....

Stop throwing around so many facts - you're a devastating debater.

Re: 2005 E9 Elite vs EHF Elite Allstar Game

It is comical how easily some of you parents get baited! Four or five ridiculous posts and every other person takes the bait, even after somebody calls the post an obvious farce. Too funny!

News alert; The FED and Elite 9 or whatever they call themselves these days will NEVER do anything in collaboration!!

Wrong! This happens every spring. It's called the Shamrock. Sorry your kid didn't get on a team

It's called a post season spring tournament Zippy and it's for angry elf's kids like you! Not very selective any longer!

Thankfully, my son is passed the silliness and has moved on to new silliness ( Prep School).

Bit of advice, take the spring off and have your kid find a spring sport. Too much hockey will stunt his development and growth and likely lead to overuse injuries! Maybe a new sport like horseback riding or polo. Something to get him comfortable riding a horse preparing for a career as a jockey. Dwarf!

Re: 2005 E9 Elite vs EHF Elite Allstar Game

Are we allowing the 05 who plays up in 04 e9 to participate?

Re: 2005 E9 Elite vs EHF Elite Allstar Game

If E9 is so weak, then why the hell are the 06 Islanders poaching the best E9 players? Obviously they are not happy with their current team, and feel the need to throw free tuition at the best E9 players to get them to go over to the Fed.

The players they are picking up are the best players on those E9 teams. If you understood the EHF rules you would understand why they were poaching E9 players. A few of the new pickups may be studs in E9 and will be good in EHF. All of the pickups have played games against EHF teams this year and well the stats don't look to good. One kid is just average E9 player right now and is a bundle with another player. One kid was cut from islanders in the past, 1 didn't play all that much in Edmonton, coaches chose to primarily use EHF kids.

Re: 2005 E9 Elite vs EHF Elite Allstar Game

you are out of your mind. The best E9 players would fit in well with the best EHF players. As a matter of fact, there is a E9 team that has attempted to play the best teams in the country and played well against them. beating some of the better teams in the country. Even beating a few of the better EHF teams along the way. So Sparky, do you want to keep this thread going by proclaiming how the EHF is the best league around? Or do you want to hide behind your sniffles and ahems and say well we get to go to the Q in a year or two provided the parents want to shell out $15 grand? Yea, thought so, now lets hear the excuses. I rest my case.

I will never understand this argument. I've never heard this conversation other than this board. I could care less if some D-Bag father whose kid plays in a different league thinks the league my kid plays in sucks.
My kid will never get cut!

Of course not, which is why this topic never gets brought up in person or amongst friends who have kids in the two leagues and only here behind the safe curtain on anonymity.

Can you imagine a father boasting about FED hockey when he knows **** well the team and your kid are better than his team and kid. Never happens... and the few parents that could boast because there kids are tops get and it and would never do that !

They never boast openly. They just do it really quietly as in, " We were down at Chelsea Piers all weekend, bot what an assemblage of talent!" Or they wear the team jacket and willing to pay the price of looking like a tool to let you know his kid is in the FED.

A few POB's (parents of Benders) always say the Fed has this Superiority complex. But in reality it is posts like these that are more common. The E9/BHL crowd totally obsesses about the FED. Don't get so worked up, your bender is where he belongs. The Fed isn't for everybody. I understand a few kids in those leagues develop nicely and make the jump to the Fed. But most toil away at rinks on the north shore at ungodly hours and have fun doing it until its time to take up Karate. Just breathe deep and enjoy life without the pressures of the Fed.

Parents of average players on EHF rosters all over New England carrying the water bottles for the likes of JB, LR, and RG. They've got you under their spell, and you keep making them rich by spreading the word about their "superior" hockey league. They don't get enough money from those league fees? They need a lapdog like you promoting their league so you can puff out your chest at the water cooler? Just let your son's play speak for itself, and stop with the free promotion. It won't guarantee you a spot on any team.

All good. I don't expect E9ers or the BHL circus to get #lifeinthefed. Be careful for what you wish for as you careen around eastern mass next month racing rink to rink trying to get Chippy onto a Fed team. When the dust settles and the teams are picked and you are back on the ole .500 E9 squad playing against town teams at Jay Peak.... remember this... not all kids are cut out for the show.

Having had two kids pass through this and one still involved, your description has no basis in reality, but if it makes you feel better then by all means cling to it. Wherever they're playing, enjoy the ride while they're young and having fun.

Re: 2005 E9 Elite vs EHF Elite Allstar Game

Game will not happen, EHF parents ego will get in the way. It's only a game people, in a blink of an eye it's over. The Allstar game is supposed to be a fun event for those selected to showcase their skills against players with similar talent. But don't worry you will fabricate so much controversy the game developers will stall their efforts, and not waste their time trying to promote New England hockey.
It's too bad.

Do you and your wife still iron the goal patches on the sleeve of the ehf coats you bought yourselves every time litter chippy scores a goal.
You look awesome in those coats. I'm sure your non-ehf friends are jealous of you when you wear it. I'm sure it's not embarrassing to little chippy either.

Re: 2005 E9 Elite vs EHF Elite Allstar Game

Game was to take place yesterday in NJ between the Warriors & Islanders 03 teams in the 7/8th consolation game. Not exactly a championship game but an opportunity to see how much better the FED is.

Like the little rats they are, the Islanders cancelled the 12:30 pm game to beat the traffic. That's right! During vacation week on a major federal holiday they wanted to leave early and skip a late morning/ early afternoon game because they wanted to beat the traffic. Doesn't really seem consistant with what most of these parents are willing to do, when it comes to youth hockey does it.

No dog in the fight but when I heard this... People, this is not what you signed up for. Take the game back!! This is the owners narrative. Their agenda!! Let the kids play, win, lose, develop, learn.

Re: 2005 E9 Elite vs EHF Elite Allstar Game

Not surprising. Fed teams do not play for the love of the game, they play only if they think they will win, if they are afraid they may lose they will use the weather, traffic, illness, scheduling misunderstandings as an excuse to not play the game.

Re: 2005 E9 Elite vs EHF Elite Allstar Game

The event was staged. Those were really EHF Tier 1 kids in the E9 uniforms. You guys know the Fed would never allow an interleague competition. Fake news.

Re: 2005 E9 Elite vs EHF Elite Allstar Game

Anonymous
Not much information yet, but the E9 and EHF 2005 division will be experimenting with a Allstar game immediately after the season. Players will be picked from their respective league, and must have played in at least 50% of their ehf or e9 teams games. Possibly best of 3 series. Each team allowed 15 skaters and 2 goalies.
Sound like a good idea and should be a good game.

This should be fun, of course parents will and already have made it so it will not be fun.

We got our invite yesterday, and because of the two nominations per team, there is already friction today among our team over what kids should have been picked and kids being passed up.

I have already heard the argument for the bottom two kids on the Eagles should play over anyone on the Bandits, but I like the idea of getting each team involved and each team being represented, like the NHL does.

Look forward to seeing everyone there, and for the record they are not doing the best of 3, and will be trying a skills competition on one day and the game the following day !
