All true he needs a facility to call his own. True true true !!
Nope. They are at a point where they either focus on quality or expand. Talk to either one of them and they are in expansion mode. They realize it's about number of players in their program that will keep them going. Same model as they are taking with the 95 Giants and Knights. Start it, then fade away and have someone else come in and do skills and coaching.
Just keep in mind if you go to Lovell in this day and age you are basically just writing a check to Lovell, you are not getting the focused attention you want to got out of Hingham. New kid running 95 Giants next year, another newbie at Knights. JL will make a cameo at skills.
haha. Do people not work and literally follow them around to see where they are going, who they are talking to? I did hear they are buying the Boston Bruins though. Saw them walk into the Garden last week. True.
Everyone has an opinion but Lovell has a great track record.
Heard TL and KP are adopting a baby together from Africa and will live happily ever after
Rumor is true. Looking up 495 area.
Setting up shop in Franklin?
north of Franklin
Bought Outlaws and taking over Blackstone IcePlex
According to FMC Outlaws completely out of Blackstone. Owners announce this the week before tryouts. Really nice. Our Coach did say something about Lovell possibly starting a program in Blackstone.
Outlaw VHL teams will remain in Blackstone.
We were told that was the original plan however someone came in and bought up all the ice at Blackstone and is starting a new program. We were told by our coach to expect to be out of Marlborough. When the current owners came in in Mars programs they told us we would stay in the area and they were committed to the whole organization. Thanks guys.
A very credible source in the outlaw organization confirmed this. Lovell bought all the ice at Blackstone for next year and is announcing new program. Will be in BHL and trying for e9. Great for the area for the young kids. No need to travel to the flames, Northstars or patriots from this area anymore. Same for having to head south to Kings. This is a ripe area for an actual good program.
Who cares guy!
This is all true- going to be called Maple Leafs or something from what I heard. Flyers and promotional items to go up in Hopedale rink this week in time for Outlaws tryouts. Outlaws own page says all levels moving to NESC next year.
Blackstone is wide open so Lovell bought up the ice. Also with Walpole Express moving to BHL and Manchester Monarchs and Cyclones moving to EHF this makes sense as 495 is a ripe area for a AAA team. Flames adding another EMHL level team so there is plenty of demand.
Hopedale Rink is a dump though.
So when does Lovell plan on announcing this supposed new program?
East Coast Maple Leafs out of Blackstone Iceplex just announced. http://www.lovellhockey.com/news/95/lovell-hockey-presents-east-coast-maple-leafs
Mentions Valley and Independent Select- not sure what league they are planning to play them out of.
E9/BHL and Valley
Nope. They will asses after tryouts and then you will see the announcements. Silimar as the did with Giants.
They announced two teams- Valley and Independent Select. The way it is worded it seems like it won't be the BHL. Someone mentioned Lovell saying they'd play other Lovell teams. Just don't know if you can make 30-35 games doing just that.
If individual teams have enough players at the select level they will put them in the BHL. Lovell and Gilmartin run the E9/BHL so they really don't have to check that off with anyone but themselves. Lovell is not going to risk not being able to pay for all that ice. Parents know not to go to a new indie team. The Lovell's are too smart for that. Some teams will be in the BHL some will be independent for year 1. I also heard a rumor that some teams will just simply play as one of his establish programs out of that rink. So you may see multiple Lovell Knights, 95 giants or Boston advantage next year out of new rink. This way he is able to attract some talent and have them compete in an actual league.
Great for the kids so what's the problem?
If you are a Lovell lover that I'm sorry your kid isn't that good. Go to a Knights, Giants or Ice try out. Complete joke.
Lovell has placed teams in the Yankee conference before so this is nothing new for them. I'm sure they will make money and kids will develop so this will most likely be a good thing for the area.
