To ehf and e9 organizations:
You have several months to prepare, schedule ehf-e9 crossover games at all divisions.
Put you egos behind you, let the kids play, some teams will win some will lose. Players will have opportunities to play different teams and players.
Parents hopefully can enjoy a non-league game, without criticizing the other team and league.
Just do it , the balls in your court.
Help promote New England hockey.
It will never happen...E9 will get killed.
Laughable. E9 teams always willing to play whoever, whenever.
Play the games on your schedule. Leagues really don't matter.
Middle of the road EHF team will most certainly beat top of the line E9 team...no if's and's or but's. if you can't recognize that you are living in fantasy land.
03 Warriors would kill 03 IHC at Elite level. Go look at it. It is why they said no to recent game they were suppose to play in tourney. They can still play, but Gallant said no.
My son's team that I pay too much for will beat your son's team that you pay too much for
I seem to recall the 08 BA Elite beating the top BJT team in a tournament earlier this year. BA put up a 10 spot in that beating.
There goes that theory.
Will never happen , then all the scouts that come to FED games will no longer be there . All the scouts are just interested in the FED ....
E9 is garbage , no interest from the NHL and D1 schools ...
You all sound rediculous. Pick your Team. Play the kids in that league. Get over it and stop worrying about the other leagues ... your kids aren't. And if you respond with "Kids know the difference" then that's your fault for openly making a big deal about it in front of them. They just can't to play hockey and for Mom and Dad to keep their mouth shut
Just let the FED be the FED and have fun in your other leagues. Enjoy the lighthearted nature of the B9EMHL, the little car stickers and the sweatsuits. Be proud of your bender. Every year bring him to FED tryouts and roll the dice. Enjoy it, don't obsess about whats going on above.
The E9 would pound the FED into Bolivian.
(Just kidding we could possibly lose every game by 10 goals)
reading you misspell 'ridiculous' 3 times now is hard to stomach, sweet jesus
How much extra money is spent by New England families each winter traveling to tournaments to play "different" competition? What if we kept some of that money here and just played an interleague tournament? Top vs top, bottom vs bottom. Not for bragging rights, just to celebrate New England hockey and get some new competition locally.
As a fed parent, I think the ehf is a great league, and coaching is superb. I honestly have seen only 3-4 E9 games, and I thought they were decent games, although, I thought the ehf games were slightly more competitive.
That being said, I am so tired of listening to other parents on my sons team obsession with the E9. Every practice and game it is 75% of every conversation.
I joke with the other parents, but I'm really serious, that after 3 years it's probably time to find a new topic other than the E9. Last week I asked one of the other mothers why the E9 teams would not play us, her answer was "we are not allowed to play them".
In disbelief, I asked our coach if that was indeed the case, and he answered "yes". I asked the coach why, his exact quote was, "we have nothing to gain by playing the E9, if we win, we're supposed to win, if we lose, they'll have bragging rights.....and they have some good teams".
If we don't want to play them that's fine, but how can every parent be so obsessed with how much better we are than the E9 , if we refuse to play them. Even if we are better, I'm sure the games will be better than playing the bottom 4-5 teams in my sons division.
E9 is JV
