That's right..because the scouts are only watching the elite teams. NHL contracts for everyone playing in EHF elite! "And you get a contract, and you get a contract..."

News Flash- parents don't put their kids in EHF Tier 1 or EMHL because they are looking for their kids to play in college or professionally. They do it for the parity you get from playing club, committed coaches and because their kids love it.

Everyone who pays for club hockey is in the same boat. Stop thinking your kid is making the pros someday. At least the tier 1 parents have a freaking clue.

How much of a clue to you really have going on and on about low level hockey? Just have junior play town, act in a play or join the school newspaper, ok Black parity loser?

The scouts calling your kid already? Get real. Idiot. Stop living through your kid that is only going to disappoint you because the truth is that the 3k you pay for elite hockey will get your kid in the exact same spot as my kid playing tier 1. No where!

Did you just call someone an idiot and say your kid is going nowhere in the same blurb?

Yes because you're illiterate enough to not know how to read a thread and understand the context in which the comment was made.

In what context is it a good idea to put down your own kid? Is this what they teach you in Black parity, dad?

Being realistic about a child's future in pro sports is not putting down a child. Black tier 1 teaches my kid to be honest about his future. Hockey is the here and now, it is fun, not the dream of going pro that sadly the majority of you elite parents believe.

The reality is, no one knows and there are no guarantees. Once they have hair on their balls it is entirely up to them. E9/EHF Elite/Black whatever, all we parents and coaches can do is give them the fundamentals and the love of the game so that when/if that physical maturity and drive to go to the next level kick in they have the skating ability and skills to try to help make it happen.

To say a kid playing tier 1 black has no future or an EHF elite is going D1 is just stupid. Get with a good coach, make sure your kid is challenged and having fun and if he wants to make something of it, hope he has the motivation to do it. Unless you are that Elite guy. His kid is definitely going to make it. Just ask him.

For everyone else, along the way they will make lifelong friends and learn how to work hard and other lessons they will take with them wherever they goes in life.

Ding Ding....we have a winner! Parity in the EHF only helps define what level of sucker you are. If your not playing Elite, you are wasting time, money, and donating to the numerous youth hockey sucker donations. And these donations do not even give you a tax break.

Please don't worry about where I spend my money. It's my money and my kid. It's not a waste for me because I have more than enough. We prefer black. Yes, played Elite. Was offered a contract. Couldn't stand the Parents who had no idea their kid was going no further than mine.

If I paid 3k and my kid ended up in silver I would consider another alternative. Like town or another sport, never mind signing up for that and making emhl !

Let me help you out, if your paying 3k and your kid is not elite your a

I beg to differ, first off, if your kid is close and a season of Tier 1 makes him better or gets him from town to elite then I would say there is nothing wrong with that.

On the other hand, if you are paying to be elite and not having to play parity or actually prove that you are elite you are a sucker too ! Because most of kids paying 3k on elite teams are not elite.

Probably a question better asked before you signed the contract.
doesn't matter if you ask programs will lie to you .you must be new to club hockey.they tell you what you want to here
Maybe, but that "lie" is likely enough to get released from your contract if you want, and also not obligate you to make the balance of your payments.

Of course that only matters if your kid has choices.
