Blazers and Cyclones out. Did NE Edge pull out also? Who is in just TA from Cape Cod?
The website has not been touched since last March
Web sites not updated, no information. A few more of the many reasons the EHF runs circles around the E9 and makes them look stupid at every turn.

I wouldn't go around beating my chest bragging about how well the EHF administers their league. The spring parity round was a fiasco. Would you rather know which teams are in your division in August, or would you rather have a more effective parity tournament and more balanced divisions? Will the EHF move teams mid season if they realize they made a mistake? BHL does.
Substantively you're correct. But, it's all about marketing and selling something to the parents, not about the hockey. On its merits, the EHF is probably slightly better top to bottom than the E9 over most of the birth years (until the hitting starts), but the differences are nowhere near what parents on this board would like to believe. However, as far as marketing, image and salesmanship go - there is no comparison.

lol..."slightly"
You have any quantitative evidence that says otherwise?

lol ...quantitative evidence

Well said. You eviscerated his point with that response.

This reply will have words with more than one syllable so try to follow along. I believe the poster's point was that most parents project their opinion onto this debate. There isn't any evidence that says anything except that the leagues are basically the same with one probably being a little better than the other. Beyond that, there's just anecdotes, observations and parents' wishful thinking.

The only quantitative data available (myhockeyrankings.com). Commence debating the formula, but this is the 07 group from last year (top 20 in NE).

Take out the Islanders and the top half of that list is essentially interchangable. Slight edge to EHF as previously noted, but not enough difference to have an impact on your player's development, which is actually the objective of youth hockey. I think you'd find a similar trend in most birth years.

That comment makes too much sense to fly around here.

Re: E9/BHL teams

Think the statement above is about right that most of the top 10 '07 teams, except for the Islanders, are interchangeable. Generally speaking though the difference is the bottom half of the EHF is better than the better half of E9.

True it is the depth of the teams from top to bottom that is the real difference.

lol..."slightly"

Demonstrating the poster's point. You are the fish that gobbles up the bait. Why do you feel the need to extol the superiority of the EHF on this board? Do you own one of the teams? Or do you think that if you promote the league your kid will always have a spot? I don't get it. In the grand scheme of things, the two leagues are virtually the same. EHF gets more of the top end players, so their teams tend to be stronger. That's the difference. That and they have a much better playoff format.

Facts and reasonable comments have no place on this board!

Supposedly Walpole Express are supposed to be IN. I did hear that many of the Boch Blazers players/teams were just moving over to Walpole wholesale anyway and didn't pay their "dues" to the league as they knew they would be consolidating with RB. Tough to see how Blazers could make a go with SSK, Huskies, Crimson and Express within like 7 miles.

I don't know how many Express teams will actually make the move out of the PHL but the word on the street is PHL Premier teams would move to E9/BHL for this year.

Re: E9/BHL teams

Wonderful

Re: E9/BHL teams

Any truth to the Springfield Rifles now having an automatic bid for the E9??
