E9/BHL may have to make the courtesy double header up to Vt, otherwise will not travel much more than 30-40 miles each weekend. These Silver teams should buy stock in Exxon/Mobil because they will be heavily supporting their cause this coming season!

EHF itself thinks you're a moron. Looking at my kid's tournament schedule in late August, the MMF (the hosts) invited: the top three EHF finishers in the BY, the top two AYHL teams and the E9 champion. That's basically how reasonable people view the three leagues. The EHF is deeper and the top teams are better, the AYHL and E9 (in that order) are not as deep, but the top teams can compete. Not a clue why EHF Elite parents (I am one) are delusional, but in the end, it doesn't matter. These leagues do produce good hockey players, and most players from all of them don't play past high school.

Not saying this is you, you seem normal but this board is the only place for hockey parents to come and brag about their little all-stars. Ever see a hockey parent telling some town parent at a football game how awesome their kid is at hockey, doesn't work, it's a niche sport and doesn't compare to the big 3 sports. So what you have is a collection of frustrated parents who have no outlet to shine on about their future D1 star. No one outside of the youth hockey world knows about the levels of play, just town or club. They don't know the difference between Elite and T1 Mustard, E9 or PHL. They just see two kids with Breakers jackets, or two kids from different leagues with an elite hockey tee, and that ****** some parents off. Try explaining it and they'd get an ice cream headache. So we have to eat our own.

What are the big 3 sports?

Football? Struggling at the youth level in many towns with all the concussion talk and CTE (it's going to get worse)
Basketball? dominated by AAU. Only difference being there is an actual diversity component. It's not all white suburban kids.
Baseball? Also dominated by AAU but I would argue hockey is more popular at the youth level in Massachusetts. High school hockey gets more attention than high school baseball.
Also don't forget the serious inroads soccer and lax have made.

Truth is all youth sports suffer from the same delusional dreams of parents. Hockey used to be alone but everything except football have joined in the circus.

I live on the south shore. Trust me when I tell you youth football is in decline. Especially in the wealthier suburbs. There are many more kids under the age of 15 playing hockey instead of football. Not even close.

You can probably flip 1 to 3 and positions 2/3 will be duking it out for 1. That's going to be your result, or pretty close.

The Flames will run the table. They were screwed in parity round. Qualified for white but we're not placed correctly. They also have the best looking Assistant coach in the entire league. Guy looks like he knows his way around a bottle of hair gel. Assistant coaching is what wins championships, this squad has the best in the league, no doubt they win. Also don't mind the amount of rockets in the stands and the dads crushing lip dinnas.

That guy can do a mean jangle on the bench door handle to let the kids know it's time to dump and change lines as well. Not to mention the harassing of the refs for a non call is an underrated quality. Of particular note this year for that coaching staff will be the berating that will come for icing the puck on the PK.

I like this post. Eventually, the cream will rise to the top. Many parents of youth superstars struggle emotionally having to watch the window open and close before age 13.

Putting aside the fact that 11 year olds are not playing real hockey yet. These particular 11 year olds are not at the top of their sport, they are playing rechockey, like rec softball is not MLB. No point in this discussion unless it makes you feel better dad.

Silver can get kids ready to play some varsity high school at a decent D2 or D3 school.

Elite, white, black, silver, etc.
Highs school is the end of the road for most of these kids.

So, since it's the end of the year for most kids, I guess it's ok no matter where they play
