I wanted to pose this question to all the people who frequent this board. My son who has played EHF Elite since day one and has never been cut, but seems to be slowing down just a tad. While I am standing at the glass watching him shred all other EHF Elite talent on Saturdays and Sundays I am noticing that I think his loose fitting equipment may be causing some drag and slowing him down a little. I have thought about sewing the jersey so it is tight to the equipment and removing the pads from the pants to drop some unnecessary weight. I suspect in a year or so he will be scouted for Juniors, Prep and quite possibly the NHL so I am looking for any advantage we can give him. Moving to the E9 is not an option as this is clearly the best league in this region and he is quite talented so looking for advice on how to get that speed back in his game. Please let me know some ideas to try to implement. Thanks in advance.

you need to move to upper state NY, Michigan or Minnesota for the rest of your days as a youth hockey parent. You will find a lot better competition than EHF Elite. word on nationals scene is that the league has become too watered down due to the E9 stealing talent. **** shame. Your right if you see your son slowing down...its not in your mind. if you can't move out of NE remove all of his or her hockey pads except shin pads, cup and helmet. This is called going JAGR...This will help w. loss of speed and will also harden him or up enough to hopefully compete on the national level.

Drop down to the 08 level to play real competition. The 08's are stacked!!!!!

I was told there will be no 08 divisions next year , they are going straight to 14U , they are just to stacked and need some real competition .
