I keep hearing people say that these teams will get an auto-bid to E9. I've heard from someone close to the org that they will need to parity in. What is it?
I've heard that they cannot be in the E9 their first year. Not sure how true that is, but most teams have to qualify via parity rounds played before the season to qualify for the E9. Depending how they do they either go to E9, BHL American or BHL National which is for the bottom teams.
Everybody goes to parity except for the 7 founding fathers teams. If a founding fathers team wishes to have their team play in they can. Then everyone else falls where they belong. It is the best way to do it. FED people get so jealous of this system.
and get destroyed! hope your kid has fun playing on an 0-30 team. just ask the 04 Rangers from a few years ago. But at least YOU the parent get to say your kid plays in the E9, and that in a nut shell is what's wrong with youth hockey.
That 04 Ranger team was 2 years ago. This years team opted to go to parity and won a spot in he E9. That is a good system if you ask me. The league should impose a rule that if a team has a tough season that the following year the team should have to play in.

Makes sense. Their teams will not be very good first year; however, there's good potential with the program given the location.
