Coaching, coaching, coaching, the rest is ALL BS.
League is about the 10th most important thing to worry about. Right up there with the rink snack bar.
Worry about coaching, skill development (coaching) and playing the game the right way (coaching).
You are an idiot to choose one over the other if one has a better coach - I don't care if it's EHF Elite or Martian middle school.
Listen let the table parents feel good about them self a for paying three to $4000 a year play town Hockey
My son has played in both Ehl elite and e9. He currently plays in ehl elite. Our experience was that the e9 was right up with ehl elite except for some years there was a team on either side that was so good it would beat anyone from any org you put in front of them. In the end, follow the rules previously said in this post. Travel, coach, etc. We are ehl for those reasons.
What program are your kids in now?
You arrange some E9 vs Tier 1 Black match ups
I will handle the EHF Elite basement dwellers vs BHL National games
That's why 1/2 of a #1 Tier 1 Black team has been skating with E9 teams the past couple of weeks. Give it up you EHF Tier 1 losers. Your kid s*cks!!
I love this blog. Fact is while you all argue and waste your money chasing the dream. I will stick with my town program as they both give the same percentage of making the show..... Only difference is in 10 years while your asking why I spent so much money, I will be on a boat enjoying life. Suckers. Oh I will save you the tribe and add little Johnny got cut and I'm not sorry.
What is tier 1? You mean tier 2. The only tier 1 teams in mass are ehf elite and e9, all the rest are tier 2 which is the same as town a. Get a grip people.
"No such thing as elite" guy? Is that you?
Nope. There are elite players and teams just not in the ehf tier 1 because that is not true tier 1( the highest level of USA hockey competition).
My bad. It's "tier 1 is not truely tier 1 and elite is not really elite" guy. I get you two mixed up all the time .Give it up buddy. You're not going to change the world.

i just love these 'conversations'. AND then in November of the follow year comes the coach/teammates/parents/travel 'suck' comments. stop chasing the name (league/team) and chose the coach. i hated my HS coaches because the morons would yell 'get it out'. SERIOUSLY you think my goal is different? thanks for that critical piece of coaching.
All I know is that 12 E9 kids have already skated at my kid’s T1 practice in the last month with half of them coming from one club in particular, (rhymes with Carriers) *cough-cough* . Keep fooling yourself into thinking T1 kids “move up” to E9.. And here’s the kicker... that loon of a coach plans to replace his defecting skaters with town kids. Good luck with that! 18-19 is going to be a complete dumpster fire up in Haverhill. Don’t ask me what birth year either, figure it out.
I don't have a horse in this race but have close knowledge of both.
It's really close and depends on the team. In '06, I think the top 2 or 3 E9 teams might be a goal better than the top Black teams. It might be the difference of one or two players. The top Black teams are likely better than at least half of the E9 teams.
Weight the coaches, the commute, your gut...
