Lets think...stack a team starting in mite minor, let half the team play for free, pay for extra skills so they don't have to go with the rest of the org, give them their own locker room, cut kids even though you are 55-0, tell them how great they are, suck the life and fun out of youth sports..... what could go wrong?
If they lost and I assume they did based on this post, I bet there was not a dry eye in the house and it was the refs fault. Learning to lose. compete and have fun is the part this team has missed for years. I feel bad for the kids.
This team has lost before and they’ll lose again. When you are at the top for that long, it is true that there is eventually nowhere to go but down. But I think it’s premature to say that it’s happening now based on one tournament.

OMG.... "when you're on top for that long", LOL - they're 10 years old pal, stop living through your kid because its gonna make it that much worse when he is on 3rd line of his public HS team.
They dominated every game they played this weekend except a perfectly respectable team in the semis. Leaping to any conclusions about this being their demise reeks of desperation. (Cue the “I’m sorry your bender got cut” chorus.”) My kid is not on this team and all things being equal I think they could stand to be taken down a peg or two, but I’ll hold off on my celly until March.

Saw them play a few times over the weekend. They didn't "dominate" every game. I watched them beat a team from Chicago 4-1 in a back and forth game; that team is 1-9-4. Gap closes as they get older, and there's nothing anyone can do about it. It's healthy for them.
1. They’re 11. 2. Hard to argue that they’ve had a good run, regardless of their ages. 3. It is bound to end sometime. My point is — why waste your time buying into the hype by obsessively speculating over it? When it happens, it will happen.
