Re: EHF/USPHL marketing machine

Great choice. Play with friends. Somebody on the board gets it!

Re: EHF/USPHL marketing machine

Town? A kid has no chance of getting drafted if they only play town. Tier 1 white and silver's where it's at!

Re: EHF/USPHL marketing machine

White and Silver are much better than town. It is organized, has solid scheduling, good competition. Not everyone has a dream of their kid playing in the NHL. Some of us just want the kid to have a great hockey experience and move on to high school and the beer league. Sorry you think that $3k is a lot of money to teach a kid the game of hockey and how to be a great human being. Those of you bashing the league clearly have some inferiority issues you need to work out. Yes, my kid does play in the white and he loves it. Money well spent.

Re: EHF/USPHL marketing machine

Curious
For a league with the best competition, best talent, best coaching....they sure are advertising and ramping up the PR machine quite a bit. Makes me think they are struggling to fill the lower tiers with bodies. The Elite level is almost inarguably the best league around from top to bottom. But the lower levels really are thin. Why on earth would you play silver or white level ehf hockey rather than town?
E9, EHF Elite, silver, PHL, blah blah blah. Town hockey gets one practice and a daddy run skills in most towns, the majority of programs get 2 practices and 1 skill, that's the reason most people take the over priced leap. Give it a few years, see where the bender stands and recalculate. If a kid does tryouts and makes elite because they earned it and not because daddy is the coach or blew the guy then good job. If a kid does tryouts and makes a lower level and wants to improve and work hard then good for him to.

Re: EHF/USPHL marketing machine

E9, EHF/USPHL any level, PHL Premier/Elite. They have all become status symbols for parents to feel good about themselves. It's just like why BMW makes so many different models of their cars. So the guy driving a 3 series can think he's just as good as a guy driving an 8. You can't pimp your kid out in town warm up gear without the fear of judgement from the other hockey parents. So you pay an extra $2K to get the better looking warm ups.

You could not be more wrong. Not every kid aspires to play in the NHL. Some just like to have fun and play hockey. Town hockey is very rarely fun as it is an unorganized disaster of random schedules and absentee teammates. If you can afford the better quality league then go for it, just don't do it with the dream of the NHL.

These ignorant comments are no different than saying public school and private school offer the same level of education. You get what you pay for.

Re: EHF/USPHL marketing machine

White and Silver and BHL National equal one word.....Dog **** of all Dog ****.....save your money and play local house its just as good. PHL and BHL National have some decent teams at the top of their standings that compete with low level E9 and EHF tier 1 black teams. At least in the age groups my kids play in.

This post is the biggest pile of dog **** I've ever seen on this board. You obviously have zero clue what you are talking about.
