Never said the refs need to enforce social distancing. I said referees need to wear facial coverings and maintain social distancing of 6 feet from players, coaches, spectators and other persons at all times. You obviously failed Reading Comprehension in H.S. Among many other matters, how can there be face-offs if the refs need to stay 6 feet away from players at all times?
See Part C. STAFFING AND OPERATIONS of Reopening Standards: “Operators should log all persons (name and phone number or name and email address) who come in contact with facility to facilitate contact tracing, including staff, participants, and spectators.” Do I now need to explain to you the significance of “Contact Tracing”?
Never said reffing is an arduous, high risk activity. Until they get rid of all these draconian regulations and standards, it’s just not worth the aggravation and potential legal & financial risks to ref games in MA.
You’re obviously a club program owner that can’t handle the prospect of losing all that easy money because you can’t provide actual games for your teams. Don’t blame the refs. Blame King Charlie.
BTW, per King Charlie’s orders, if a person has been “exposed to Covid-19” they are required to quarantine for 14 days or be subject to a $300 per day fine. That’s why the State requires contact tracing.
Typical owner. You can’t handle the truth. All you care about is the money.
