Re: Teams from same program in same division

anon
this theory will be tested as both New England Bulldogs qualified for upper gold in the 08 age group
The league has been very clear with program directors about the rules. The problem is all of the experts on this board are looking for some fictional online rule book. The people who tend to complain simply do not have the same information as the people who read the comments and laugh at them.

Two teams from the same organization who do not have the separate program designation (PHC North/South, IHC East/West or Terriers Red/White) cannot place two teams in platinum. The decision to send multiple teams (i.e. Bulldogs @08 level) is probably just a way to increase their odds of a team landing in the division. The league has also been clear that if a program had a team in platinum the prior season who does not qualify then they can have two teams in UG (see Bulldogs 08).

The bigger problem is the league needs to create some boundaries for who can attend parity specifically platinum. The idea of bottom UG or LG teams attending platinum is throwing off the competitive balance.

An actual post with accurate information, thank you.

The 09 Boch teams and the 08 Bulldogs will qualify under this policy. If you go for Platinum and do not get in then you can have 2 teams in UG.

The Bandits will be pushed out and the IHC will end up with the UG spot.

It has been this way for many years.

Re: Teams from same program in same division

Decisions have been made and once again kids that worked hard will find out it was all for nothing. Organizations putting out clear expectations could lower the collective stress and avoid all the drama but for some reason (money?) they never do.

For those that got hosed. Just work harder and don't get caught up in the back office bullcrap.

Now what is the holdup? It is Wednesday night and nothing still.
