Any chance HNIB is checking on the validity of players. Know of 5-6 2006’s who are not eligible for this event yet are fully allowed to play vs 2008’s who actually should be there. I know rules say 8th/9th graders, but allowing 10th graders this year. Hope Mom/Dad feel good about playing down
If You are worried about that, then chances are your 08 doesn’t belong there
What does it matter what grade they are in? Doesn't it go off of birth year(s)?
This tourney is not birth year specific. It's a JR High festival. any kid entering 8th or 9th grade in the fall is eligible.
However, I saw a 2005 on the list. give me a break. what parent puts their 2005 into this tourney, even if they did stay back a year, and then repeated 8th grade before entering a prep school.
a few early 06 birthdays too.
they really should elaborate on requirements... entering 8th or 9th grade, and a birthday later than 08/01/2006.
However, the earlier point is valid. most of these kids will be trying out against 17/18 yr olds in a matter of months. if you entered your 08, and didn't expect him to play against 06's, then that's on you pal.
My 08 would knock the 05 kid on his a** and then skate circles around him. Sorry your 05 kid got cut
the 2005 was a typo. it's been fixed.
Terrier kids are carrying central team in the red division
This is where the 2008s were this weekend. Not CPCT. What low level talent at the Big Apple. Wasted $500
my wallet-burner of a bender made me sign him up for PV so I got my fair share of bad hockey. His buddies made the HNIB championship game and got smokd by a team from Pittsburgh with some legit players but I'm sure a couple of them couldve driven to the rink themselves. But Id have rather my kid play in that tourny and get his a** handed to him by a kid hed be facing in high school anyways and realize he'll be better off in the trades than in the rinks
OP, I'm curious...did your son survive playing against those big, bad 06's?
