PHL

We are moving from Chicago to the Boston area in October. My 2010 son has been offered a contract to play for a team in the PHL. They have given us only a few days to respond. It looks like there are a bunch of leagues in the greater Boston area. The coach said the PHL is the same as most of them. If we don't take the offer will there be other spots available on teams when we arrive?

Re: PHL

Don’t do it. The PHL is a low level club league. Tier 1 EHF is better.

Re: PHL

Sign up for 09 town. Then latch on if good enough to ehf elite team as alt.

Re: PHL

When is the parity!

Re: PHL

Silver and lower gold are better then the Premier division? Lol

Re: PHL

It’s a great league if you love driving 3-4 hours to play garbage hockey

Re: PHL

Troll job

Re: PHL

It's similar to T1 EHF. My son's PHL team beat upper gold teams this past season, but got beat by Platinum teams in non league games.

If you like the coach, I would say go for it. At that age, the most important thing is the coach and how their practices translate into development. I would be a lot more concerned about that.

Re: PHL

PHL is terrible. E9 or EHF platinum unless your kid is a stud and can play EHF elite

Suixy.

Thank you for the laugh

Re: PHL

Fed Elite= America
E9 = Canada
Platinum = France
PHL = Yemen

Re: PHL

Weird. My Kids plat team always seem to roll E9 teams that aren’t named BA.

Re: PHL

Maybe BHL teams but your PHL team has never beat an E9 team. That’s like Sweden beating a crew of purple haired lesbos.

OK E9 dad.

But to the OP assuming he's not a troll. PHL does suck. My kid played in it for a year and literally drove up and down 95 to play the same 4 teams over and over again. Most teams had a few decent players but as a whole the games were terrible. He moved to rainbow fed after that and it was definitely a good call. Less driving and better games.

There really isn't any reason why any kid outside the top top top to have to drive all over New England to play mediocre hockey.

Your plat team has never beat a top half E9 team. Never happened. Question: Do you feel like a failure as a Dad because your kid is a mediocre athlete and will be a 3rd line senior at Plymouth south? I hope you have him in a few camps

Re: PHL

Elite post or Premier post? This is a PHL thread after all.
