What are they doing wrong?? or is it just too many teams in that area?
They have not been able to field teams at the elite level. That’s only after years of getting smacked around.
New owner or new coach comes in and thinks they can compete and they start the whole cycle again.
Main reason they are so bad.
Tri County Saints. Which coincidentally the director is also a bandits coach.
In any event the town team saints fields four teams of low level town kids at every age group and do a pretty good job.
You could probably take a few kids from each of those teams along with a couple bandits and have a better team.
But. You are correct. Too many teams in the area. But really. You have a town teams that is well run, half the price and the talent is the same. So.
the BB organization is a disaster. They have a team mom doing their marketing and it makes them look better for sure. From top down there are issues. I have heard many experiences of parents having run ins with the coaches and the owners that were not pleasant. Also, when the mite major team has two coaches kicked out of a game, the ref locking himself in the locker room and calling the police, one coach/parent screaming in the stands, swearing and flipping off people while there are small children around...who wants to join an organization like that? One coach was heard yelling, "I am going to choke that F%^&ing ref out," but another coach pushed him back toward the bench. It all is a bad look and word definitely gets around. Then, as mentioned...they can't attract any talent in any youth age group and that shows in the standings with ZERO wins, mostly blow outs. They can't even compete. It is sad what has become of the organization, but I am unsure they can ever recover.
I have seen some tri county a level teams and there are no fed level elite Playere playing for them. , The bandits lower level teams might benefit from adding some of those town kids .
The 09 BB elite team is just plain dirty. Some talented kids who lash out in frustration due to all the losing. Appears TP isn't bothered by it. Certaintly does nothing to stop it. Not teaching kids to play proper hockey. - They just pack it in defensively, commit some cheap shots, and the parents whine about all the penalites and tell their kids to take someone out. Not a good culture for the kids.
The league needs to do something about it.
Why do you dislike TP so much? What did he ever do to you that you constantly post about him?
The 2013 are being moved out of the elite. They have no 2012 elite. Clearly the league is doing something about it but remember this is a business, with bylaws, and they are all tied to it even if it is not in the best interest of anyone. (other than the Bandits)
My kids play for the Bandits and we like it there most of the time. At times it is frustrating to watch and to try and navigate if it is in the best interest of the kids, in our case it is, as I have seen the boys get better. The facility is decent, the practice schedule has been solid, and the skills groups are working.
The disappointing part is certainly some of the items mentioned previously as there really is no place for it. I am not saying someone doesn't need a good smack in the mouth every now and then but it seems to be running rampant these days and eventually enough will be enough and people will walk away.
Those town hockey/Bandit parents in the stands are some of the worst. Mommies screaming savagely at their kids teammates to "pass, skate, shoot" brilliant coaching from the stands. Not a good look for the program. Do the Bandits moms eventually fight each other in the stands?
We used to play against them but like OP said, many of the teams got moved down a division and thank god. People complain on every team about something. When you want to see how good you have it in the program you are currently in go watch a few of their games.
If you support primate moms fighting and coaches choking out refs this is the place for you.
Bandits are the Rifles of the EHF.
It will only stop when the parents stop paying for that bad of a product.
Which will never happen.
They have been cashing checks for kids who have no business making teams for the past fifteen years.
Parents justify it by telling themselves and this board the repeated lies of. Facility is nice. Practice schedule is set. Skills are decent. Owner cares.
Like they say in the used car business.
“For every seat, there’s an Ass!”
