From watching these kids it looks like the 2014 birth year is the best group in the last 10 years. They have to be one of the favorites to win the Brick in two years.

Funny, I'm hearing the coaches at this level are absurd. Don't get me wrong, I know these guys are solid hockey minds. But running power plays at the might level is a joke. These guys are signing up for tournament's and bringing in alternate's just to win. I'm talking about out of state players traveling just so coach can feed his ego. How about the Americans coach not signing his team up for any tourneys so his kid can play for fed teams. Good luck with this group.

Not sure about the talent. Have they even played any of the top teams yet? Definitely the craziest group of parents in a while. Sounds like we should be getting the 2014's autographs now because a lot of them will be in the nhl .

I have noticed a few of the 2014 parents have parent managed IG accounts for these kids. I'm not sure why the need for this other than attention and to be told how great the kid is. Some of the parents do need to settle down. The kids are 8, a LOT can happen. But there's no doubt that some of the kids from this birth year are very good.

As a parent that has gone through it and is in the middle of going through it with a younger son I love watching mite parents make fools of themselves. Traveling the country to play diaper hockey and bragging about how great their kids are. News flash - NONE OF THIS MATTERS!!!! We’ll see how your kid looks at 13/14/15 and again at 16/17/18. All you 2014 psychos should take a good look around the locker room this weekend and know that some kids in that room might not even be playing hockey in a few yrs and the kid that just skates faster than everyone is going to get caught by some of the slower kids and passed by them.

Everything you just said is dumb. 8 year old hockey- who is the fastest kid on the ice- who is the most aggressive. Having gone through this already. I watched excellent mites become irrelevant by peewee major and 100% by bantams. This elite tag is a joke. Very few players are actually elite. You mentioned science? Its called genetics and puberty.

They have not played the top teams. You don’t even know who the top teams are at mites especially in Canada and Minnesota. Mid-Fairfield plays cross ice until squirts. .You will see next year .

Not tracking any 2014. I am a parent that has been through the whole thing and played junior bruins . Wow you played the international stars? Never heard of them. Just because you traveled to tournaments doesn’t mean you played the best kids and teams. The 2014’s might be really good but you have not played the best . Just wait until the next few summers.

Sounds like these 2014 kids are lucky to have such involved parents. As long as they are enjoying hockey what is the problem?

Some kids are just gifted when it comes to speed and endurance. It's not something everyone has, same way with running. Obviously hockey isn't just about speed and endurance but it plays a big role.

This has to be a mom. I mean no dad with a set of balls is posting clips non stop on social media looking for likes and running to the dboard talking about how great his mite is at hockey.

The dads are the worst.

It's totally the dads who played back in the day and want the kids to be everything they weren't. Happens with things beyond hockey as well.

Funny I have 2 kids playing and the only ones that post anything are the insane moms. You know the ones that go on vacation and post those family pics that are perfect where everyone has a forced smile because the previous 20 min were a complete nightmare with her trying to get the “perfect picture”.
