I think we all can agree this group has come in hot. They bring a new level of insanity not seen since maybe the 07 parents. We have teams flying in alternates to play in tourney's, power play units, PK units, 7 day a week skating. Bravo- elite or die trying..

If a team is that great there should be no need to fly in alternates...
Because winning is more important than feelings. I'm trying to send a message to these 8 year old's. We can't win with you, I need to fly in better players. Also, we can't afford to drop in MHR rankings. If this happens we won't get any scouts at the games. This is club hockey- either you are elite or not.
Settle down Francis, no need to get triggered. Having an older youth player gives us wisdom and experience. And yes we all know parents in all age groups. The 2014 group seems a little bit like know it all's.

Meh, FWIW some of the parents in this group have been coaching for a while and played high level hockey themselves. I'm not saying there aren't other birth years that have never had that...but to call them 'know it alls' seems bitter. I mean one of the '14 BJE players' dad is the BU coach and played in the NHL. Do ya think he knows nothing?
these posts are funny. but you're right, these kids still have plenty of time to suck one day and sounds like that's what you're hoping for.

Why don’t you ask that BU coach what he thinks of all this craziness in youth hockey. I’d love to hear his thoughts.

I mean, maybe he's in on it. Both his kids play for BJE. Seems like there's a lot of crazy parents beating their chests in that org - all birth years.
Funny you mention him. Fantastic guy and coach. He's not in charge of the 2014 group nor is his input used. Why do you think he's in the stands most games? I wish all the players the best of luck with this great game. It's the parents that might ruin that ride-time will tell.

No one said he was in charge. But he has his kid on a pretty crazy team.

Id find it hard to believe he doesn’t think this group is insane. Probably why he doesn’t get involved and tries to keep away from all you 2014 idiots.

Well he's been pretty successful in life, he's had his.
2014 parents are insufferable. Its the apex of the terrible/lazy/entitled millennial generation who are now parents and raising entitled kids who need to feel special. Worst generation ever spawning the next terrible generation.

Oh all the 2014 parents are millennials?
I know there are 2014s who play for several teams, teams that fly in alternates, kids who are in will o'neill videos every week, go to swaggy P to show it off on IG, have a parent managed IG account - but it's a smallish group. No need to lump them in together.
Still not sure what the point of this thread as this is nothing new other than some of the internet stuff thanks to tech.
Wasn’t it some lunatic 2014 parent that wrote out a summary of the Jr bruins tryout teams? Yea they’re def normal. 😳
Must have been ok'ed by the masters.
are you criticizing someone for taking notes on kids for a tryout team? I mean that's kind of thing you learn in high school. Are you saying no summary or notes should have been taken after a tryout where there were 200 kids? If there was no summary or notes I'd be concerned.
Proving my point you psycho. Yes I think it’s insanely creepy that a dad took notes of all the 8 yr old Jr bruins tryout teams and posted a summary of each team to the dboard.

Exactly. And the psychos trying to justify it are just more crazy/entitled millennials. Keep helicopetering your kid. Life will hit so hard when they finally need to do something on their own. Everyone else will be laughing.

wow evil.
So they're mot skating on their own? the parents are making them go and pushing them on the ice?

Hey morons, I did the scouting report 30 seconds after receiving my bender's team assignment. I had no idea who was on what teams. It was complete satire. I strung together the first idiotic terms that popped into my head for each team.
Every age group has lunaticss, maybe a few extras in the 2014 group. Either way I'm going to keep running with this "14's are stacked" shtick. All about the clicks

Ranking the teams 1-6
1)F - Deepest team with the most talent, but some are questioning whether or not this collection of studs will gel.
2)B - Three of the area's best playmakers and one great puck moving defensemen, surrounded by grinders. Recipe for success?
3)A - Some shutdown defensemen and the best goalie will make it tough for opponents to score.
4)E - Some very talented skaters, lead by two top forwards. Their toughness is the big question mark.
5)C - Best player in the country surrounded by a bunch of kids that don't stand a chance.
6)D - Donkeys top to bottom, expect a blow out.

The best 2014 player to date in the country was not at tryouts and is not from MA
There's plenty of parents out there already assuming their 5 year old is getting into a top prep school or an ivy league..for just existing. Ya'll are crazy and need to chill.

Spot on about the 2014 parents. I've been saying this for two years and its not just hockey - it is other sports as well. The absolute pinnacle of the entitled helicopter parent.

Maybe a lot of parents came to the realization that in order to get into any college these you have to stand out at something?
Do you have a problem with parents who are obsessed with a kid being good at math or science?

If you are thinking at 8 yrs old about how your kid is going to get a scholarship or get into college for hockey you are definitely a serial killer.

Spoken like a true helicopter millennial parent. Thanks for playing. Get your 8 year old some college application fee waivers while you're at it. Grow up, Peter Pan. Count Chocula!

I honestly have no idea why anyone would even have a 2014 player. Losers, every last one of them. Next time just use the pull and pray method and wait for a better birth year.
Unless your kid plays for jr bruins (which maybe they do or maybe whoever posted this made the 2nd team or no team) I don't know how anyone could know so much about the '14s as a whole. There's many teams of 2014s
