Melrose bringing down a 2012 Elite IHC player to play in AA playdown tournament. I guarantee the kid has not played 10 regular season games to qualify.
Can't comment on this particular instance, but I can say this sort of thing happens all the time and will continue to happen. Nobody will hold anyone accountable and there will be no consequences. I'm sorry.

Does melrose have a AAA team as well? If not what wrong with him playing on that team? unless you have proof he is not registered with the program who cares. The 10 game rule is out the window unless the Valley decides to make refs check rosters. They don’t even look at the iPads just scribble their name and upload. Never mind the rinks that require score sheets which mean the coaches have pre printed roster stickers. In that vein every single team operates the same way. If the kid is on the roster they will let them play because they want to go to states.
The kid has been on that team since day 1. Has played in a lot more than 10 games and is at practice every week. Check your Intel. Sorry your team got beat by 1 kid.

Absolute BS lie and you know it. You're team is barely hanging onto the AA division with a putrid 4-10-1 record with only 38 Goals scored the entire season yet the kid scored 8 goals the last two games. My intel tells me that the kid is a ringer and only brought down for playdowns.
Your intel? Do you have investigators building a dossier on 10 year olds? Maybe your intel can come up with actual facts and provide some viable evidence so you can file a formal complaint. Since no evidence can be found, I’m guessing you’ll just continue to whine on message boards and try to make everyone believe you’re a connected guy with inside information on youth hockey scandals that don’t exist.
I agree. All these clowns on here puffing out their chests talking about drafts and high school hockey when these kids are between the ages of 8-12. The reason they bring them down to town is because they don't actually do much at the level they're at in club. They bring them down to say 'look at me' I can score against a bunch of kids in some case can barely skate, 'I'm living my life through my kid playing hockey'. Woohoo!
No one can accept losing anymore. Never get outplayed, always the other team cheating or the refs stealing it. Grow up and accept that you lost. It will help your putrid character. Move on. Your kid already did. Loser

There are two kinds of people in youth hockey when it comes to this stuff: people who will bring in a ringer (and claim it either doesn't happen or doesn't matter, or both), and people who won't (the losers who should grow up, move on, and/or get a life). In the end, it's like trying to explain what having class is to someone who doesn't have it. Don't bother.
Let me know what you'd like to see. The kid tried out in the spring, made the team- is appropriately rostered and has been since day 1. He is on the top Squirt team in Melrose. He has played in more than 10 games. 100 percent above board. Melrose lost to this team, with him, on Saturday. No funny business. They have scored more than 38 goals- they reset the standings and stats after round 2 of parity. Pretty presumptuous to call someone a cheater with no facts to back it up. Let me know what you'd like to see. The kid wanted to play with his hometown friends, nothing more- nothing less. Neither one of the teams today are going to states so why would there be cheating?
I saw this kids 8 goal performance. I had to meet him for an autograph and a picture. Kid ended up sweet talking my wife and haven’t seen either of them since. Kids the real deal. Absolute beauty.
Why is an ehf elite kid playing for a AA town team?
Because these people have no class or morals.
Because it gives him or her a chance to play hockey with his classmates & have fun. If he's been playing with them on a fairly regular basis, I don't see why anyone is complaining. If this was his first and perhaps only game, then you have a valid complaint but if he's already played numerous times, which seems to be the case, you have no argument.
