Just sounds like he was more accomplished at hockey than you were. Sounds like you lived vicariously through your friends careers and he played college club hockey. ACHA is pretty good. Most parents on this board would sign up for their kids to play on the Northeastern club team. Nor did this guy lie about anything. I bet he was responsible for your kid getting cut and you are still mad about that.

Let me guess, his kid plays on the first line and is the worst kid on the team? Those usually go hand in hand. My experience has been MOST "Elite" Dad coaches in MA, have played little more than high school at best. Though they pretend to have played higher level.

You think the parents are bad, you should check out some of the coaches.

Coaches should be vetted by the organization prior to assigning them to a team. They have a direct impact on your players. Background checks and qualifications verification are required for all youth sports. As for parents, who cares what the say, they have no impact on your childs development.

This happened to me already with FOUR different dads in hockey!!! One said he played hockey at BU, one at Babson. Met another guy from babson hockey and he knew the guy I was talking about and said he was never on the hockey team. Looked it up. He wasn’t. Then I questioned the BU guy’s status and googled his linked in and cross referenced the roster. Nope. He wasn’t on BU team!! Then I remembered a guy who said he played basketball at Cornell. No again. Once that happened I checked out another hockey dad who said he was on baseball team which he wasn’t. None of them put it on their linked in or are on the rosters during the time. I have 2 kids playing in college. One is d1 and one is d3. If you lie you are a piece of **** loser and you are stealing valor from those who bust their butts.

Also adding a guy who always bragged and out pics on fb claiming his daughter played hockey at a D1. They were playing against BC in a couple of hours when I saw her. I was shocked she wasn’t there yet. I asked where they were playing. She said rink at Cleveland circle. Took me a minute. I asked her if she was on club. Yup. Another guy said his son played at UMASS. left out it was club too

No but our town league has the know it all coach who watches everyone's kid on LiveBarn and sends them critiques and Karens everyone with his knowledge. Who by the way, never played big boy hockey but learned to play and coach from YouTube. Asshats are everywhere.
