Not really. The masters have the final say. The best kids get picked, don't worry. The nat elite this team is also not the same this year as it was last year. The two TG kids are new to it, also some new BJE kids.

In case you haven't noticed the majority of the better '14 players are on like 3/4 different teams.

If rushing the puck end to end 10 times a game and turning it over 9 times makes him the best…then you are right. Remember this is hockey not the Ice Capades. Far from the best HOCKEY player on the team.
Being a good skater and fast is a big part of hockey.

Sorry your kid got cut.
Back-checking, passing, having a good attitude, and being a team player are also very important
I guess there are people who disagree with your assessment seeing how he made the Nat' elite team and the IHC elite 1st place fed team. Sounds like you have issues with the parent.

No doubt he's flashy. But who picked that National Elite team? Hopefully it never get's back to dad what many of the IHC parents and players have been saying about him and his son. Ideally everyone lives happily ever after at Merrimack, but my gut tells me they'll double down before long.
True. IHC parents will are in for a rude awakening. I give until November 2023 before they figure it out though.

Wait?! So confused! “made” the ihc elite team. That a joke! The dad talked I’m sure to the coaches and made some deal obviously well before the seasons over. That’s a crap move! Also I didn’t think at the ehf you could go to another elite team before a certain date so how is this all confirmed now.

The coach spent too much time focusing on his own kid and being a complete dbag. Program has nothing to do with it.

I guess the kid is talented enough for IHC coaches to not care about the baggage he and his dad are bringing with them to the team. I had higher opinion of ihc 2014 group, but it turns out all orgs are the same in this regard.
