Running Track now open

The Kings College Running Track is now open again. It's been resurfaced and marked with eight lanes.

I used it today along with two other people but as before groups of people still walk their dogs round the track?

I just don't get it when there is so much green belt land adjacent to the track.

I have nothing against dogs or people who own them just the fact that they could be more considerate to people using the track.

Re: Running Track now open

Went to Running Track at around 3.30pm today. I did thirteen laps 5.2k run.
The track was being used by kids on bikes, roller skates and scooters, obviously taking advantage of the flat tarmac surface. Bikes were just left on the track and one girl on roller skates was being led by her mother around the track anti clockwise oblivious of me running. It was not a pleasurable experience.
In my opinion it was better when the track was "red ash" as at least you could run around without interference.
What a waste of money!

PS - As above a guy with 3 dogs was allowing them just to run around off the lead.

This was always going to be the case - it isn't exclusive to just you runners it is there for everyone to use
