I visited this restaurant in the week. Whilst eating my main course I had to pull a 4 inch piece if hair out of my mouth with a piece of meat stuck on the end of it. I had literally only taken a few mouthfuls of the meal.
I was offered a replacement but bearing in mind we waited 25 minutes in an empty restaurant for it in the first place I declined.
When the bill came they had taken off the price of the meal I had and nothing more. When I spoke to the manager to inform her that I had a hair in my food and was leaving the restaurant still hungry and that just removing the price of that meal from my bill was not satisfactory she stated it was company policy and there was nothing she could do!
One would expect some discretion is afforded to the manager of a large restaurant like this to perhaps waive the price of our soft drinks?
Steer clear of this place, the staff are not friendly and the service is poor. The Pinner and Northwood branches are much better.
I visited the restaurant and was very disappointed. 2starters, 2 pizzas a larger and a glass of water cost £36.00 and that's with a discount. I gave them the wrong discount code and the manager said as it was processed it can't be put through the till again. This is company policy as staff may fiddle the till. The manager is not very nice to deal with so I told her I would not return. Very overpriced poor quality flavorless food.
I visited Prezzo a couple of weeks ago. Had a voucher to use which I showed the waiter beforehand and he said it would be fine. Quite surprised to the receive the bill and be charged full price. I took it up with the waiter who apologised and said it was his mistake. I refused to pay it so he spoke to his manager (twice) who wouldn't back down. The waiter himself then offered to pay the difference! I got the impression that the manager was a bully. I asked to see the manager but was told it wasn't possible.
I was fully prepared to walk out without paying but my wife convinced me not to. I contacted Prezzo Head Office twice by email an received no reply. A friend suggested I make a complaint via Twitter as this is the public face of Prezzo so they work hard to make sure any negative comments are dealt with. I never use Twitter but set up an account to leave a comment and received an email from the Area Manager within an hour who apologised and offered a voucher for £20. I made the point that there are plenty of decent restaurants in Ruislip and with the attitude of the manager at Prezzo it would struggle. I was told they would look into it.
Anyway, I used the voucher for a family meal and everything was fine. Food was good (if basic) and the kids meals were excellent (huge pizzas).
They always have offers on. See their website. Currently 40% off main courses. Just be prepared for am argument when the bill arrives!
It took 4 days to get a reply but Prezzo came back to me via e mail. They admitted the manager should have dealt with this personally and should have discounted the bill further. They have offered a £30 voucher. Clearly the problem here appears to be the Manager!
The only way to respond to service like this is to vote with your feet (and wallet) and never return. Thanks I will now avoid Prezzo
We also had a bad experience with the manageress there. We had an email voucher for a free bottle of wine valid on any day within 30 days, but the manageress refused to honour it saying something about company policy. I very politely tried to explain that I would email head office anyway and wouldn't it be easier to not have bad PR if they honoured the voucher. Basically told me she didn't really care. Emailed customer services who advised me the voucher should have been accepted and advised me to use it on my next visit showing the email chain as proof, as well as sending me a £20 voucher off a meal, just how customer services should work! Hopefully the manageress is only temporary as the restaurant/food was very nice otherwise.
My daughter called up to book a table and was told they needed to check their online orders for takeaway first and could she call back in an hour. She went over the road.....
