during my nelson/carroll research

I am descended from john carroll and margaret nelson of monaghan ireland. Their daughter Margaret Carroll/Berry was my great grandmother. Another daughter Isabella Carroll/Berry married into the same Berry family, as William James and Alfred Berry were brothers who came to Australia in 1868 with their parents and siblings. They all lived in the Fitzroy / Northcote area and their father John Berry was a coach builder. They all worked in various aspects of the business , wheelwrights, coach painters etc, not to mention blacksmiths and farriers which is what my grandfather Hector Charles Berry did as a young man. Pop also used to ride his horse to Apollo Bay to the dairy farm of his Aunt and Uncle Elizabeth and John Kenneady on a fairly regular basis.

Roz, I must agree with Jan Bruce (19OCT2010) - you have done a great job with your family tree research and website. Thank you. Like, Jan, I am also related to Alexander Nelson and Letitia Hall who were my great grandparents. Their youngest son, Alexander Nelson (I call “Jnr”) was my father’s father who married Ann Mary Stearman. Mary had (12) children, with (10) of them from the marriage. I am new to this family tree caper and am surprised at the number of trees on the web that record Alexander Nelson (“Jnr”) as having died in Albury in 1943. He was born 08DEC1869 (a few months before his father, Alexander Nelson died 02MAR1870) and he died 26 November 1912 in Wagga. Letitia married William Myott 08APR1871, after her husband Alexander Nelson (Snr) died. I am certainly interested in exchanging info.
