Hello Holly!

My name is Helen. I am Simon’s mother. (Simon is Erin’s friend from Riga).
I got your book at Riga airport the day we left for Toronto after our summer vacation. The book intrigued me very much because of connection with my lovely Riga and my own search for home (or better life) only in opposite direction. Nevertheless of my poor English, I caught the spirit and idea of the book. Thank you for good time I spend reading and thinking about Hannah’s and my own life.

It seemed I was back home when I looked at pictures “ icy view from loft skylight”
and together with Mike looked out the window on a passing by tram. How many times I walked along this street, went by tram, by car during almost 20 years…
