we were out Friday at first light and got immediately blown off the Broads and went to more protected water. Even that area had wind blowing right down it's longest stretch bringing in 3 footers. At one point while going into the wind, one of our Otterboats actually went airborne as it crested a wave and caught the wind. We were skunked all morning but right after that happened, we boated a large rainbow, had the one of the biggest salmon of the season lost at the net and caught a 3 pound smallie.
